And Rukia happens to be one of the best characters in Bleach

Was that the kid hollow?

I'm partial to Byakuya, he's a boss.
And I still call hax on his fight with "mr. plot shield" Ichigio.

Rukia Kenpachi and Isshin are the main reasons I've stuck with the series as long as I have.

Ah, Bleach. My third favourite guilty pleasure after Bollywood and B movies.

I have a suspicion it is so popular because it costs **** all to produce and enough people buy it. If the anime is anything to go by, with around 12+ minutes of new original content in each episode. Opening + previously on Bleach + CONTENT + recap after commercial break + CONTENT + outro + silly shorts.

The only good thing about Kenpachi was this.

The best Bleach character was Mayuri, he would have made a pretty good villain in a better series.

@SAO talk. SAO sucks.

@Siradix, art style of Psycho-Pass is OK. It's almost as good as Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop.

I don't remember if I asked this before or not... which Mobile Suit Gundam series are the better ones?
Also Samurai Flamenco got my attentions...

The team didn't want moe in the show, so maybe that had some influence. They liked their dramas to be like Mobile Suit Gundam and Patlabor. The writer for the show also wrote Black Lagoon and Fate/Zero.

Rukia was my favorite character.

It started to dawn on me more and more that she would never do anything of importance, fight wise, so I just gave up.

Wouldn't go that far. It's pretty Mediocre
I found the first half pretty alright, and I dug the op.
Then came the 2nd half. With a more generic villain, a lamer game, lamer op and en, Forced incest love triangle, meaningless political **** (People. This isn't EVE Online, chill out.). And instead of the Villain just wanting to play god, the new villain's a Nerd that wants to use a mind control device to rule the world...and do creepy stuff to Asunas unconcious body...that too. Dear lord.
Probably won't watch Sword Art Online II when it starts this year.
I'm also not watching Extra Edition.

I would go that far. A sh!tty light novel makes for a sh!tty anime.

F**k incest pandering. F**k any pandering to otaku.

I mean I guess it could have been something good, but the writer has no skill to make it so.

The series should have ened after the first 14 episodes(?). As soon as ALfheim Online started it just got worst. The game that they were actually playing was pretty much non-exsistant for the most part. Which bugged me.

Speaking of Light Novels, Spice and Wolf is getting better. I really loved the anime, and the Light Novels I'm reading continue it.

But damn does it suffer from prose due to translation issues. It has all the wit and charm of a BioWare banter; a lighter version of The Witcher 2's politics converted into trade and the setting isn't all that bad either.

I might have to make it a project to rewrite the translations one day.

But it is not this day! This day I rant!

^ have you tried checking to see if it has more then 1 group doing the scans/translations? Some groups are better then others, even though sometimes you have to wait longer.

The unfortunate truth is that applys to almost every character in Bleach. I don't understand why Bleach keeps introducing new characters instead of expanding more on the current ones. I would rather have a handful of quality characters then hundreds of half ass characters that don't do anything.

I have no idea about those. You see, they've only released like what? Eight volumes. There are seventeen and they plan to translate 3 a year.

Some fans (including me) thought that was too slow, so a generous guy/gal and her compadres translated the rest of the books and luckily for me, they finished early this year.

The link should be a few pages back.

The thing is, the prose is shaky, and though I am grateful for these guys and gals to have done so, it still irks me as someone who enjoys (like any sane readaholic) good prose.

But still, the story and characters are good enough for me to continue reading.

I mean, c'mon! The anime was freaking great!! It's hard not to love these two xD the way they constantly tease eachother and spar is amusing. That's why I said they remind me of some good BioWare characters.

Here's a little example I'll bold the parts that annoy me

"Reynolds smiled at Lawrence's indirectness and scratched his nose. He stared off into the
distance, whether he was scheming or at a complete loss. Lawrence sipped on some wine and
waited for him to continue. He soon raised his head."

Yeah, well, it's hard to create a diverse cast of characters when you have anime John Cena as your main.

Tite Kubo thinks he can make characters seem like they have matured and developed by giving them a wardrobe change. Its like if a character shows up in a cape, you know thats the stories way of saying they have gone through some epic developments, cause god knows you would never be able to tell otherwise.

"Ichigo has changed so much, hes not the same kid I remember when I met him..." AKA He grew his hair out a slight bit more (and then later got a haircut when the writers decided the point had gotten across over how much he has changed)

The thing is episode 1 Ichigo would react to everything the same way he would 350 episodes later. That is some WEAK ass character development.

Yeah, he was at least good at character designs. He should've hired a ghost writer.

Reminds me of the Fullbring Arc: "We are going to show just how much everybody has matured by making the same exact thing happen again! And we will sit here and tell you how much he has grown up by showing him do the exact same things he did in episode 1 while fan favorites grin!"

Some Geth.

Am i the only one or does Rukia's shikai/bankai also remind you of that stand White Album from JJBA part 5?
