So I just finished Clannad After Story and an ad for kleenex started playing. Damn thats good advertising.

That last half of the season was imo hands down the best slice of life I have ever seen.

I am not ashamed to admit tears of manliness were shed. I was expecting to get choked up but damn... The writers of this series have gained my utmost respect.

I kind of want to rewatch it all again.

So I've decided to start Casshern Sins, not a big fan of the animation style yet and it's ridiculously slow paced but I heard good things about it. I'm giving it a shot.

I heard the author is changing how things will end because of how popular the IP is.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I'm glad to hear this, since I love the cast too much to see the series end in a traumatic conclusion. But at the same time, I'm now really curious to see what he had planned and feel a bit sad that fans are preventing him to finnish the story in his prefered way.

That's why I mainly watch IPs originally coming out as anime, I stay away from adaptations of ongoing mangas usually.

Well it's about a girl name Sadako, who is misunderstood because of the way she looks. She wants to become friends with her classmates but she is very timid. In her class is a boy named Kazehaya, who is the popular kid in the class, and he begins to start talking to her and offering her opportunities to make friends with her classmates.

It's a romantic comedy with a school setting, that throws in a dash of drama every once in a while. While the premise seems cheesy and cliche, it works perfectly for the show.

I stopped bothering with Yu Yu after the Dark Tournment Arc.

That said if you want something similar any of the shonen put out in the mid 90s likely would be up your alley.

Ok, I need an honest review here. How is Hunter x Hunter?

I'm loving the remake of it. The amount of gore that was in the original one has been toned down a tad.  It's a  great fighting shonen, but at this moment, things are starting to drag. That's about around  episode 115.

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (weakling turned strong / fighting)
Fairy Tail (magic mixed with fighting)
Beelzebub (delinquent fighting and demons)

Would *not* recommend the above. Too shonen and cliche stuff, not related to Hakusho in any way, in my opinion.

I'd recommend Hunter X Hunter (I'd say watch the original 99' version first tho). Or if in a humorous mood, Level E (one of the best gag/comedic anime I've seen in the 2010's). All of these are originally manga by Togashi. All of them great anime.

The new Hunter X Hunter, as said, has been (in my opinion crudely and needlessly) toned down. It's nothing in the vein of the sinister Berserk-like original. The original, being made in 99, could pull off more original style. The series has this eerie yet natural pacing to it, wonderful music, and dark art 'n character portrayal. In my opinion, it's exactly the version Togashi's "deconstruction" of shonen asks for.

And it needs to be said Togashi's stuff really gets going around the 10th episode mark. No judging based on a couple of episodes. His work mostly defies genres and demographics and all that...
