I'm trying to work out why I hated End of Evangelion so much. I loved the ending to the TV series (shoot me) and other psychological animes that are just as weird, if not weirder, like Penguindrum. Maybe it's just 2deep4me.

I didn't like the ending of either. Penguindrum ending just left like it was pseudo-philosophical, with the throwing in of random symbolic images towards the end. I'd be happy to read any meaning that was found. I just simply couldn't see any.

Watched Disappearance... pretty amazing movie. Wish it would have ended with this version of the ending song, instead of that soul crushing acapella version. That just about killed me. This one is also sad, but more bittersweet at least. Also pretty neat how practically all of the songs in Haruhi are sung by the actual voice actresses of the show, and pretty well too.
Apparently they're making an anime based on a spinoff manga based on human Yuki. Would rather have a season 3, I think, but I'll take whatever.

I finished the first season of Clannad. Really enjoyed it. Loved the Fuko arc and the Komito arc too. Plus I think I've found my favourite anime character outside L and the Earl of Pudding.

This first episode of Bakemonogatari is rather unsettling. Art style feels all twisted and claustrophobic. Though I am slightly proud of myself for figuring out that "bakemonogatari" is a kind of pun for "monster story." It only took me a few dozen subbed anime to learn a Japanese word.
There was an anime group on the old forum, AFAIK traffic there was pretty much dead. People just came to this thread to talk about stuffs.

I watched 3 episodes of this, meant to continue. I gotta learn to sit through an anime at a time and not jump into every interesting show I see. I would've already been done with a few shows if I did.

I was using the same one since I signed up on this account, the moment I went to change it is when bioware removed the function lol. It's great that its not such a pain in the ass.
Just curious are you watching Clannad subs or dubs? I want to show someone the series and I think they would prefer dubbed so I want to know how it is, whether it stacks up to the subbed version.
