I'm four episodes away from the end of Angel Beats. I've really liked it so far; don't see why people would have a huge problem with it. Well, in terms of content, yes, it might not be for them :-)

It might be that I'll finish all them Key animes before moving back to the dark twisted ones since I enjoy the comedy so much. Seriously, that humour was meant for me, quick, dry and to the point: love it.

"You guys are imbeciles - EXCEPT FOR YOU, YOU'RE GREAT!" The animation, facial expression plus voice acting just makes those lines priceless.

I'm dreading its end, though. I have an idea of what's going to happen, though. But I've only ever seen Clannad, so maybe Key doesn't really do those kind of endings ALL the time.

Anyway, night guys.

With four hours of sleep it's a f*cking miracle I made it up to 3am. The miracle of anime, I suppose.

The reason I hate Angel Beats is the pacing and the plotholes.

Give it time, young padawan.

I checked out a picture of Princess Mononoke. Face-painted warrior princess with giant wolf in the background? I'm sold.

I haven't seen a Miyazaki movie since I was... eight, I think.

I just saw the Nina scene in Code Geass. Did she really just do what I think she did? :o

Oh, I'm just barely containing all of the horrible puns I can make of that scene.

Is the pacing bad? Yeah, its certainly not great.

Are there plotholes? Yes, tons. Its like trying to make sense of Majin Buu's origin story in DBZ, its completely non-sensical in certain aspects but...

I think the creators are just betting that most people will suspend their disbelief for the feels, and for a 12 episode series that has a few genuinely good feels moments I'm mostly willing to do that.

So anything else that's even CLOSE to Clannad? Maybe not in feels, but in hilarity, romance and cool characters?

P.S I vow if I ever father a bastard I will be the coolest dad ever. Akio, man, what a LAD.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, if you haven't watched it yet. It has feels, hilarity, romance, and badass characters.

Or Rurouni Kenshin.

Oh and Fuhrer King Bradley is a good antagonist for brotherhood :P Like how he kills a Tank with a sword and a grenade.

I've been told Tomoyo had the best (or at least most emotional) story in the VN from a few people, is that true?

I kind of want to try them out now.

She got her own expansion, so to speak. They wanted her route to be bittersweet. The expansion is the stuff that happened after clannad. Sort of like her own after story. I googled to see what the end stuff was, and I can say its sad. The reviewer cried.

That isn't much testimony about the story to be honest. I've found that most people who watch those feely anime are built rather close to the water.

Okay here:
Spoiler

That sounds like pretty sad way to end a romance sim. I'm not quiet sure what close to the water means. Is that easily emotional?

I finished it.

Yeah there are moments where you go "huh?" I actually thought I had it figured out. But seems I didn't. If you get passed all that you do get a pretty sweet story with 'dawwwww moments.

But the best part of that series was the comedy. F*ck it was funny. And for 13 episodes, it ain't that bad.

I think they should have done better in explaining the rules of the 'world.'

Anyway, gonna watch NHK now, or any other Key anime. Need some good laughs xD

P.S Fullmetal Alchemsit is in my list to watch too.

This weeks Bleach chapter is the first time I have not hated the series in a while. The pacing was still laughably bad but at least I got to see my favorite characters Bankai... On that note, I fear the series has very little left to offer me.

Also I am kind of intrigued in the new enemies fighting style. Erasing himself from existence (well at least from other peoples perceptions) is definitely a unique way to fight.

I liked her Bankai.

Spoiler

What is the difference between FMA (the manga) and Brotherhood? Is it worth watching?

The FMA manga was ongoing when the original anime was made. Since the anime could not pass the mangas story it instead altered the plot and went in a different direction, once the manga was finished they made another anime, Brotherhood that follows the mangas story more closely.

Don't think I've seen a lot of anime since I finished Full-Metal Brotherhood & Baccano. There haven't been many quite as engaging for me yet.

Don't worry about it, I got no plans to make a single post here for the forseeable future. The BSN...sorry BF, has became nothing but a source of trouble for me as of late, and this bright white light is easy on the eyes after all.

Shogan, I just started watching anime this month. I had no bloody idea what I was missing.

P.S

Episode three and I've already cried...

Of laughter.

The whole "I can't get the good ending" scene just reminded me of the BSN so much. "Why can't I get this girl into bed?" As a gamer, NHK really speaks to me like no other anime I've watched yet xD

Yeah, the humour is one of NHKs strongest points. Yamazaki in particular is awesome in his own shameless way, I love how he gets Sato familar and addicted with all the aspects of otaku culture.

The part were Yamazaki finds out Sato collected 150 gigs of porno images in a week after he started going online was gold.
