Alex Luis Armstrong is one of the best things about FMA. The only man allowed to sparkle.

Ye gods. I should stop posting s*** here and get on with my anime backlog. I still have finish Gintama (last season), then Spice and Wolf..then..other things.

Regarding Monster: It's a great anime. Might be somewhat slow compared to most anime, since it is a thriller.

I got to EP 60, should really finish it.

@ Kurozuka - Yes, it's pretty good. A bit all over the place, but I did really enjoy the flow and style of it.

@ Monster - It's quite good, though a bit too straightforward for my tastes'. Gets better by the 10th episode. David Sylvian's music makes the experience more worthwhile.

@ FLCL - It isn't mindless! It's one of my top three, and it's full of pretentious symbolism and whatnot. (first time viewing didn't catch onto it, and couldn't watchi it. the second time though...)

FMA:B does not f*ck around.

One moment it's hilarious and you love the characters; the next, that same comedian does something you would never expect.

AND WHAT THE HELL IS THE COLONEL PLANNING?

*find out next time on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood!*

Wow!

*did you know that Fullmetal was pub-

Yeah, I'm ranting again.

Haha yep.

Well I remembered TMH's reaction to it, and I knew people hated it so I had a good idea of what to expect beforehand. I even had a pretty good gist of what the lesson was going into it. I just wanted to see it for myself. It was actually a really interesting concept, its just theres only so much repetition you can stand before your brain just starts to turn off.

I got through it by rationalizing that there has to be details in the episode that matter. I was actually starting to connect some patterns, but they were there just to give viewers a false hope that the changes had meaning, lol.

Tonari no Seki-kun: Master of Killing Time is awesome. They're all just 7 minute shorts. The one with the robot family theme song by Ichiro Mizuki had me rolling.

Love that show.

The first shogi one and the robot one are my favorite episodes so far, they've all have made me laugh though.

Finished the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

It was pretty satisfying, especially since it focused on my favorite character. Still, it kind of leaves me wanting more.

Spice and wolf is interesting so far.

I'm tired of super-girly waifus that look, dress, sound and act like 10-year olds.

Holo is unexpectedly refreshing, given her wit and how wrong appearances can be.

Anyone know anything about Blue Exorcist? Like, is it worth watching or not? I caught the first couple episodes thanks to Toonami and it seemed interesting.

It is an entertaining anime, though its conclusion leaves a lot to be desired. If you're just looking for a neat anime to pass some time, Ao no Excorcist is a solid choice (and its soundtrack will haunt you), but if you're looking for an exceptional story, not so much though I have to say the anime does have a very nice (and feels'y) twist on Satan that is well worth watching, it's just the end not keeping to the same level.

I know right? She's awesome, and when there's an actual spark between them, you feel that it was earned. Lawrence puts up with a lot of crap, but they come to an understanding hehe.

But too bad about the whole unfinished thing. If you want I can link you to pdf's of the rest of the story, though they're in light novels and the translation ain't that good.

Make sure to be reading another book on the side with good prose, just so that you don't melt your brain.

I've bought the Spice and Wolf novels up to volume 10 at this point and I actually think the translator has done a pretty good job.

They're simple and easy to read. Nothing to melt my brain.

What further use?

I prefer character that look, dress act and sound their age.

Failing that I prefer they look/sound older than they're supposed to (because anime protagonists are usually too young anyway and too often thrust into situations unsuitable for their age)

Heck, some of the anime I watched as kid I was convinced the main cast was 20-30 - it made sense, if fit with their apperance and their situation/behaviour.

And then I find out they are 16 or something, despite..ya know..being civilians, owning cars and guns and stuff like that.

^Just noticed your signature. The "ha/wa" is redundant as the "mo" (btw: standard short "o", not "ou/oo") grammatically replaces it.

Also: nasty.

I mainly meant Nagato, sorry I should have been clearer. Kyon is still a really awesome main character though.
