Initial D is cool beans.
Haha. It's like Fast & Furious movies. They're all pretty bad and horribly cheesy but you just can't help loving them.
Personally I can kind of relate to the show, because this is how I drive to work everyday.

Exactly.
Also L > Near.
B*tch please.
L > almost everybody. ![]()
The Akatsuki and Arrancars sucked. Naruto and Bleach suck.
Death Note started out okay but really fast did it become a story of two jerk offs with big egos trying to "win". It made the whole morality stuff feel pointless. Who cares what is right or wrong, when it's a story of two awful people trying to beat each other. I don't care. And even tho it was interesting at times, they should have had planned out the manga some more instead of the reckless writing, Looking at what happened to Naomi.
Bakuman was a much better manga from the team. Helps that a lot of the story is true to life. Like how the manga biz works.
And Initial D is cool.

It's alright... I don't mind being stabbed in the heart... again...and again
*runs off crying in anime fashion*
Haha yeah you are still new to this uhhhhhhh world of fiction?
Don't get me wrong, in a lot of ways Death Note was a good thing. A darker Shonen Jump series with a villain lead was a new and great idea. It also got Jump/Shueisha to look at how the volumes sell, so now they don't just use the rankings in the magazine.
And just my opinion, Obata's art is always a good thing to look at. I just feel story wise, they were going for something that was a little out of their league.
Death Note live adaptation sucked. As do all live adaptations. ![]()

Oh, don't worry. I'm not really taking it personal xD
P.S
I'm watching Guilty Crown atm. I don't know what to think. A part of me wants to like it, but the other is just riddled with too many questions. And not in the 'Paranoia Agent' way. They are questions that ask why the hell is it so stupid at times.
Questions I feel make the show dumb below
As of now, it's trying to be Code Geass, but all the questions I have are really making it seem kinda dumb in a way. What I DO really like is (ironically) the art, it's freaking beautiful, and the OST, especially the opening (though it could do without that first English line.)
So unless they answer at least 2 (the first and last) of the questions, then I won't feel satisfied.
Death Note live adaptation sucked. As do all live adaptations.

simfam is glad.
The third question has been answered :-)

Hiroyuki Sawano is up there with Yuki Kajiura and Yoko Kanno as far as anime composers go IMO. Except he insists on gratuitously abusing other languages in his songs. (not the openings and endings though, which are Supercell) Those other two are much more deft in their use of language, with Kajiura's faux Latin or whatever and Yoko Kanno using a whole bunch of different languages pretty well, I think. Where Sawano excels is in his songs (everything with Mika Kobayashi) just being absurdly powerful despite said abuse.and the OST
Please his name is now Zaraki the Kenpachi.
I still do have a bit of a soft spot for some of the characters, there were some fun moments but it's largely wasted potential.
Wasted potential is something that can be said about a lot of anime. Few things live up to our expectations, especially given the imagination some of us have.
Bleach is..OK I guess. The start was OK and it has some characters I really like (Yamamoto, Byakuya, Rukia, etc..), but it kinda falls into a rut.
It also suffers from the same problem 99% of all shonen do - horrible main character and supporting cast that is way more interesting.
I hate most of main shonen protagonists - Ichigo, Naruto, Seiya, Gon, Goku...even Luffy.
Ichigo is *HUGE* Mary Sue. So is Seiya. Frak, all of them suffer from the "designated hero" and "reserved for hero" syndromes.
Byakuya is a BOSS.

The show doesn't have much else going for it.
I'm on episode 12 now and to be honest...
It's pretty 'meh.' But I have NO idea why I feel like that. The concept is cool, but the characters aren't developed enough, there isn't any depth to it. What's their reason? What are the motives of the 'bad guys?' There are also inconsistencies and things that they never bother explaining. But that isn't it. I LOVED Angel Beats, despite the fact that it has a stupid-ass ending and the climax wasn't at all what I thought it would be. But never the less, I really liked it. Kind of like Mass Effect 3, I see that gaping hole in the middle, but can still enjoy it. But this? I guess I like it, but it's no where near the quality of some other animes. Like I said, it's trying to be Code Geass, but it's a very very light version of it.

*sigh*
Seriously dude...
One more for the list.
Oh, and I'm getting heavy Genshiken withdrawal symptoms. It's amazing how much that show grew on me. It was very charming, funny and the characters were great. Or it's perhaps that Guilty Crown hasn't done much to fill that void.
I only really watched it because my friend recommended it yesterday since he had no one else to talk to about it. So today I'll drop a bombshell, break his heart and he'll probably never spot for me again.

I found it enjoyable enough, but I'm willing to find almost anything I start watching enjoyable. There's just so much crap in it that looking back it's a little hard to stomach. Yes the antagonists' motivations lie between shallow and simply unexplained, Shoe's personality and character arc are really stupid (especially in the second half), the heroine has pretty much 0 character and wtf was that thing she did anyway. And the deal with Adidas' sister is gross.
So what did I actually like about it... the cool music and biomagics.
holy dicks, the life fibers made have infected Madagascar. Is such a thing even possible?

It's definitely one of those 'switch your brain off and enjoy the show' kind of things. But even then it's kinda boring.
Btw, is Fairy Tale any good? I've heard it suffers from Bleach syndrome but it's really funny apparently.

All that talking...
GG Bleach.

As long as it's funny as my friend said it was then I'm fine.
He started describing the wacky characters and they all sound cool. "Do it for men!" What a freaking quote!
P.S Man, I can't believe I missed all those plotholes within Future Diary :'(
It can be a fun show. Personally I didn't think the humor was good enough on its own to recommend, but it certainly had its moments. As long as it's funny as my friend said it was then I'm fine.

Well then, it's one on the never ending list then. But perhaps I'll wait for it to finish first, though that might take a while. I have other shows to watch, so it's no problem.
