Even though my first anime was DBZ, it was Ghost in the shell that truly got me into anime and it still holds a place in my heart.

Ghost in the Shell will forever hold a permanent spot in my top 5 anime list <3

Also watching Mirai Nikki for the 1st time and I now truly understand why Yuno is the trope codifier for Yandere xD

Figured I'd watch Blue Exorcist since I caught it on Toonami a few times. Rin and Yukio really don't seem related. The whole, "Only Rin's body was able to handle the power of Satan, making him the only son of Satan" thing seems iffy. And the headmaster who got Rin in school was obviously one of Satan's demons. Why does Yukio not see this? I hate when obvious character traits are overlooked on some occasions and noticed on other occasions.

Its sadly the thing alot of anime's suffer from since they need condense alot into 25-minute episodes

I don't think it's a matter of condensing anything. They shouldn't draw/animate these situations in the first place so the world doesn't come off inconsistent.

Strangely they don't do this often enough T____T, though I think in the instance your describing, since we are seeing it as the viewer we can freely deduce things but in terms of what the character themselves know its a whole different situation, even if it should be blatantly obvious to them

But Yukio should know what that pseudo demon appearance is like. He's presented as a pretty knowledgeable kid. Not to mention his own brother is a demon, and I'm assuming he knows that he doesn't look like everyone else. It still comes off as inconsistent. If somewhere down the line he reveals he knew about the headmaster guy's nature then I could forgive not bringing it up, even just as a thought. Maybe he does, I'm only on episode 6.

Alriiiiiiight.

I finished Avatar. Final verdict: beautiful. Really, it's a kid's cartoon, but it doesn't hold itself back on the more darker elements and complexities of the plot. But I'm guessing this show could have been 10X what it was if it wasn't meant for nickelodeon. Still, it was a great series with a solid beggining, middle and end, and I'm glad I watched it through to the end :-)

That feeling when I can tell who almost each character is, man I need a life :pinched:

Dude, I was literally calling all these people by their character names. When Jon Snow passed by, I never said "caballero" or "perdona" I said "JON SNOW!" xD

Got it

haha looks fun. You look so serious in most your pictures :D

Glad you saw them xD

Well... not really huehuehue

I'm not he most photogenic person, so I really come out like an ass in all my pictures. I'd have like 10,000 if I didn't avoid getting in them. The only pictures I like are from my fights, but I'm conscious of showing them off because my ego can be REALLY hungry at times, so I tend to avoid compliments or showing off to people xD

Kid shows can sometimes be pretty good when they don't talk down on the audience. Avatar was probably the best I've seen in that sense in the last 10 years or so.

btw what type of fights do you do?

I boxed for over 6 years so just that. I was supposed to go to the UK championships but internal injuries sadly happens. That's what happens when you're a 13 year old fighting 16 year olds and then 15 year old fighting men.

Oh but it was fun.

I was the type of guy who loved getting hit. But that's all over now but I just do Body Building.

You look good, but pretty much useless. That's why I'd say if you see a huge body builder, you're better off being afraid of an angry cat. Well, it depends really xD

Speaking of fights, Avatar had some of the best I've seen. None of that wishy washy crap you see most animes pull off sometimes. Every move is shown clear and crisp. The animation is really something to admire.

I do like dubs sometimes but I kind of want to keep Attack on Titans Japanese dub & subs intact, I just love Mikasa and Eren's Japanese VA and Levi's <3

also just finished Season 3 of the Saki, anime, never has an anime about Mahjong delighted and charmed me so much, I don't really care for the gag boobs alot of the female cast have, but other than that, I can't wait for the next season.

Snapshot from Saki below, of Nodoka Haramura

I looked at the English cast and I was not really that impressed so I'm watching it subbed on Crunchyroll. Potato girl is the best.

Has anyone else watched the first episode of One Week Friends? I just checked it out on CR and it seems promising.

It's about a girl who loses her memories of all the people she gets to know every Monday, and a guy who decides to keep becoming friends with her again every week. Seems like it could have some potential to tug at the heart strings.

The premise reminds me too much of that Adam Sandler movie to bother giving it a shot, unless literally everyone here says it's amazing.

So I watched Vision of Escaflowne (the series, not the movie). Pretty good, I wouldn't call it overrated, but I guess it seems... kinda standard. That love triangle got pretty obnoxious at times and I didn't feel like the apparent supernatural influence on people's free will was explored very well. Had some nice points tho and ended ok.

Sadly Vision of Escaflowne had alot of executive meddling and alot of it was cut, the final product is half of what it could have been :(

Well, until the last season anyway.

I find the ending very dissapoiting and a huge cop-out. but hey..Kids show. They couldn't have him actually kill someone, so Deus Ex Machina!

And Aang + Katara? Just because he's the main character doesn't mean there HAS to be a love plot or he has to get a girl. He's 12 dammit. TWELVE!!!

That's why I said if it wasn't meant for nickelodeon it could have been something even greater, because it did explore some darker themes + complexities. That's why I thought the antagonists (or anti-heroes, whatever, Zuko and his uncle) were the ones to steal the show. Though I enjoyed the other characters, they had a lot of depth in them.
