Speaking of whacky animes -- I've found the Ouran Host Club to be rather amusing after I discovered it on Netflix despite it finding itself into high school anime territory, filled to the brim with androgynous boys, which I usually cannot tolerate long enough before realizing "What the heck am I doing? And go watch something else". It hasn't thrilled me though. Brotherhood, Bebop & Baccano have a-mazed, and a few others have been entertaining, but haven't really found anything that holds up yet.

It's there for the lolz. I was laughing so much when Matoi blushed like crazy when she fought the boxing guy. No need to go beyond that. It's not like the show takes its fan service to the level of Highschool of the Dead. To be fair, it doesn't really try to be sexy considering the hottest part of that show was this:

If hypothetically, he had a say, then 80 % of the men would be old people, where as the women would all be deliberately designed with a 'erotic' twist, in thought of someone cosplaying them.

Its just finished its 3rd season , its such a guilty pleasure, I think I did make a brief mention of it the other day, but I don't really care for the "fan serviceyness" but I enjoy the characters nonetheless.

The series had a lot going for it. Mako, scissor swords, Mikisugi, Mako, Nui, Mako's family, Gamagōri, Nonon, NUDIST BEACH and last of all Mako.

 

So yeah really cool anime show. And I don't care for many new shows. lol

 

Mako and her family are the worst thing to happen to comedic relief since Jar-Jar Binks.

Hell, I think I like Jar-Jar over her.

 

Totally un-funny, and the character design and animation looks and feels like something out of the 50's with a shoestring budget.

 

Actually, a lot of animation in KLK is like that (they try to hide it with action and various effects)

Honestly I prefer TTGL to this. Partially because all the fighting against the school feels like pointless padding.

 

"Hurr...you fought me and provided a decent challenge. I'm still not gonna tell you anything.. because reasons. Also, if you want to talk to me you have to fight trough everyone - even tough we established your "armor" is superior to everyone elses. I'm still gonna watch a few more episodes, to give it another chance.
