It would be a cruel joke to make subs for kids who can't read. ^^Subs suck is what I'm saying. They're only good for stuff for kids who can't read.

Damn...Spice and Wolf kinda just...stops.
Got to say it got me pretty invested for a show that was so much about talking and economics.
I know that feel. I'm reading the novels now. Slowly, because I have another 2 billion other things to do, but they're all right just for the story. Don't expect much from the prose because the fan translations I found for all the books are pretty...well suckish. I'd just get them to find out what happens (and trust me, A LOT of stuff happens.)
But yeah, Spice and Wolf is one of those animes that caught me by surprise :-)

You know what's starting to bug me. Mathew Mercer was pretty good as Chrom and did a decent job as Kanji when Troy left the show, so why the hell is he doing such a crappy job as Levi? And it's not just the acting, it's the massive changes to the script.
"Lets take it like a man shall we?"
"easy big stuff. nobody's got time for a cry-baby."
WTF is that? That is so dam OOC that dub Levi is not even Levi. It's just a new generic badass cocky leader that is sporting Levi's face. Yes sometimes small script changes happen in dubs but good dubs only change something or even none. Funimation went way too far. Really as much as I hate Aniplex with their high prices, at least when it comes to dubs they don't royally screw it up like Funimation does.
/mini rant
/Levi fanboy
Music to my ears, House.
Seriously, they went and just destroyed that character in a matter of seconds.
YES he is a badass. But a badass doesn't have to be some gruff-tough cocky c*nt ><
Look at ANYBODY in FMA:B, the badassery in that show has a lot of variety.

The big issue is the dialog change. It not only changes the mood now but the character. Levi, as created by Hajime Isayama would not say that stuff. This is funimation Levi, not the Levi we all know and love.
Rather glad I decided to avoid the dub, I don't want to destroy my image of Levi T__T

Is it possible they'll change the voice for Levi? I'm sure we're not the only ones who are facepalming? I'm only assuming this because I have no idea how the dub industry really works, especially with funimation.

Been getting more and more happy about my decision to avoid the dub. The tiny part i suffered was just.. terrible. Can't spoil a character so excellent as Levi.

I shudder at the thought of what they did to his fabulous "Sexy Kick" scene with Eren in the courts

Lawrence is the king of romance. I mean, to put up with Holo's constant teasing...
Just imagine if BioWare decided to write up a 'Lawrence.' The fangirls would be soaked from Dorne to Casterly Rock.

The thought alone is terrifying. I'm going to stay as far away from that as possible, not touching it ever >..<

Sad thing is I'll have to bear it. Because I'm gonna have to show this one to my mum. Even if the dub sucks, AoT is too good to be put off.
I'll also be watching it on a huge plasma, so I think an erection is possible with all the gorgeous 3D Maneuver gear animation

Walking into this series blind is definitely the best way to get the most out of this show.
It should probably come as no surprise after the mini-book posts I have being writing on the series but it's easily my all time favourite anime.
Have you watched the Rebellion Story yet? It's a movie sequel to the TV series.
P.S. +1 for watching primer, +2 for making a graphs haha.

Its very rare that one gets to watch a show that is a few years old without any spoilers, so yes it was quite the experience. I really can't think of any show I would rank higher than it at the moment.
I have not seen the movie, is that where I should head next in the series?

PMMM does really say "f*ck yo' expectations" in the best Samuel L Jackson voice it can muster.
So... I'm reading Attack on Titan since my gut tells me I'll get spoiled...
I forgot how much it is to suffer through character deaths whilst reading >< ffs, not even a chapter in and people are dropping like flies.

Out of curiosity, is there any place like CrunchyRoll that is streaming the movie, or do I have to acquire it by other means?
EDIT: Also the only one that is a sequel is Rebellion right? The others are just movie versions of the series?

Yeah the others are the series retold. But Rebellion is the sequel. As for your other question, I have no idea :-/
