Please. I assure you that I'm old enough to be able to handle people not liking what I do. KlK isn't going to be for everyone and while I love it just fine, I'm not going to lose sleep over the fact that you don't like it. I do however have a problem with the fact that you're tossing around this superior taste sort of attitude. It's fine not to like something, but there's a way to conduct yourself in a manner that doesn't seem like you're just nitpicking and trashing on folks that like it.

The nature of a flaw in something like anime is not going to be something as discrete or simple to identify, much less as drastic as a faulty break. It's fine if you think those flaws are bad enough to bring Kill la Kill down a few notches, but you can't place some kind of objective quantity on how much they should matter to anyone.

 

And I'm not.

I'm arguing against the idea that such flaws don't (objectively) matter.
 

The existence of some flaws is somewhat subjective. The existence of others is not. How much those flaws matter to people may differ, but the very existence of them should preclude anything from being uber-hyped.

As for "superior taste attitude". That is subjective and therefore doesn't matter.   (To me. Therefore, doesn't matter at all.)

Personally I find that whoever started that phrase just didn't want his tastes analyzed.

People are getting annoyed with you lotion because you are presenting your opinions as facts and being very snobbish. You don't like KLK, that's fine but don't act like your opinions on it are facts. Accept that the bulk of this thread loves the show and will gush about it. Either ignore it or find another conversation in this thread.

"These flaws don't matter to me" (but are still there) and "these flaws don't matter at all, and their existence is objectively irrelevant" are two different things.

 

After all, the fact that the breaks on the car do not work might not matter to me, but claiming that objectively the car works fine is ridiculous. It's less of a case of a stick up ones ass, and more of a case of denying/ignoring reality to validate ones own opinion.

Nope.

Opinions can be right and wrong. Some cannot be objectively verified. Others can.

 

I don't give a crap if you, Bob, Mary or sue love it or not. This isn't about love or hate. And for the record, I don't hate the show - I know it's a hard to grasp concept that I can like something and STILL rip it's guts out.

I give a crap about saying how the art and animation is great (as a fact).

It bugs me as much as you saying that the moon is made of cheese or that earth is 6000 year old. That level of wrong bugs me.
