Oh man, Episode 11 of Watamote was so freaking adorable... I don't even know >_<
That should have being the season finale imo.

I just got a dvd box set of the 8th ms team Millers Report Special and the Three Gundam 0079 movies at the con.
Subbed of course ![]()

It's apparently getting an OVA on October 22 with the 7th manga release.
I agree, 12 didn't really need to be there, but it feels like an epilogue to the series.
"Seriously, it doesn't even matter" feels like the final sentence in an epilogue.

I don't think I've ever read a manga with apparently sporadic releases until Teppuu. Damn my enjoyment, now I have to wait for who knows how long for another chapter.
You know how Persona 4 (the anime) is the boiled down version of the game? Here's the better boiled down version- good for a laugh or two.
Damn i absolutely love hiimdaisy's version. It's hilarious and possibly the best version of P4

I really need to get a move on and watch the rest of season 1 of Kuroko. On episode 15 I think. For the past year. I wanted to read the manga not too long ago but I was like, "Damn, 200 chapters to catch up on?" I guess that's not that bad though. Better than trying to start One Piece at this point, in any capacity, manga or anime. I'm not about that 700+ chapters life. Or 600+ episodes.

This guy Dean has some good tastes. I tried recommending someone watch that comic to get the gist of what the game was about. They weren't having any of that. Their loss
I really do wish Hiimdaisy had finished that comic because it was wonderful.
I've been incredibly hesitant about watching the P4 anime since I've heard it rushes a lot of things. I'll admit there are definitely points I'm interested in seeing how the anime would cover it but ehh, I spent enough hours with the game alone...

So this is a thing?

Pfft... I'm away for a weekend and we're on the second page? What would you do without my pointless banter?
Yes yes, I'm back. No need to clap and bow. I know you love me.
P.S
THAT COWBOY BEBOP THING!

I feel like rewatching Cowboy Bebop now.

Well, let's put it like this- it doesn't take three hours to get past the tutorial phase.
It does cut out a lot of stuff, but to be honest a lot of stuff deserved to be cut- daily school grind and shows are gone, which cuts off about twenty hours off the game. It chops out most of the content of the social links as well, which cuts from the character stories, and it generally resolves those within an episode. (I think it covers four of the social links in a two-episode summer piece.)
But it does so in order to stay focused on the mystery and the major story events. And dude? It's hilarious. The shortened nature does kill some of the pathos and character drama and development, but the anime nails the comedic flair. And adds to it- the summer arc has a hilarious arc in which the protagonist is played for laughs as Nanako and the firends spy on him. When Nanako reports she saw Big Bro with a woman... and then another woman... another woman with a kid... an extremely older woman... (First minute there. Some of the other clips work better with context.) And the King's Game? Even better in the anime.
What it cuts out from the other social links, it also uses to build up Yu Narukami as an actual character rather than the bland projection protagonist. One of the gimiks of the commercial cut is the show of the protagonist stats (courage, knowledge, etc.). Each episode, one of the stats increses, and Yu gradually goes from being a quiet, passive actor to a more and more active person and identity. He actually has a personality, and naturally a personality flaw: a rather appropriate and fitting one that makes for an appropriate issue for Persona 4 and an unexpected tear-jerker of sorts.
It's a worthy watch, and gets the essence if not the experience of the game. Definitely worth watching if you are a Persona fan.
I feel like rewatching Cowboy Bebop now.
And I feel like replaying Persona 4. Or just finishing the game I left off a few months ago.
Damn if it doesn't have good characters, though. Bioware could take a tip from its character arcs, and character romances. I feel more tugs at my heart strings from the Persona characters than I did from any Bioware love interest in ME2.
I enjoyed the Persona 4 anime, one of my biggest praise was the art style though. The characters looked much better, plus certain scenes like the battle with Yukiko I felt where handled better in the show then the game(which makes sense considering both are different mediums and have to tackle this thing differently)
Also makes sense somethings where cut or changed because they have to condense a game that is pretty dam long, not to mention alot of content in P4 was optional.
Pfft... I'm away for a weekend and we're on the second page? What would you do without my pointless banter?

I miss when you were just crazy dave of Canuckistan.
I never did try and meet you when I was in the neighborhood. Shame, that.
Huh. Thanks kindly for the write-up Dean! I am rather curious how they handle one of my favorite visual points in the game
I'll more than likely end up checking it out at some point, same with the P3 movie that's due out! :3

The hospital scene in December, nuff said. More emotion in that scene then anything Bioware has ever done.

SpoilerMost of the complaints I heard were on a forum I was a part of years ago and it seems like they maybe wanted a shot for shot version of the game in anime form. I admit that I am super pleased at the idea of proper interaction between Yu and Nanako in general.![]()

I can say without a doubt the hospital scene and the scenes you just mentioned where handled very well imo One thing you will have to get used to is since Yu talks, Johnny altered his Adachi voice and uses his normal voice for Yu, so it might take take awhile to get used to the minor change.
Naotos voice actress is also not the same as the game(Chie and Teddie have their Arena/Golden voices)
