I've only ever watched the dub myself so I have nothing to say regarding it vs the subbed version.
Very good VA casting and it was pretty much most people I know's introduction to Steve Blum (well that and Big O back in the Toonami days) so to hear him in BW games and such these days still makes me think back to Spike. :3
I refuse to call Steve Blum anything other than Grunt xD

Keeping on the whole voice actors topic, it's funny to reveal to other people that familiar voices were played by women. For the longest time a homie of mine didn't know the Buu era Trunks was voiced by Laura Bailey.
O_O I must admit I didn't know that either and I'm of the sort that Laura is definitely one dub actor I will fangirl over every time. Then again, I don't think I actively started following her work before the original FMA so there's probably a ton of earlier stuff I don't know about it being her.
She was Luna in Virtue's Last Reward, that being my favorite one of her roles.
She is a very good voice actress.
Oh and also she was Keiko in YuYu Hakusho I know some people don't know that.
Yup! I adored 999 to pieces so when I found out that she was voicing someone in the sequel, I was thrilled. Luna ended up being one of my favorites for sure. Still hoping they'll think twice on the hiatus sort of thing for the third game but that's a whole different topic..
Since MLP is winding down Im hoping to find some aneemayz to keep me over until next season. Does anyone have any suggestions? Im interested in Fighting-type shows with strong lead characters, non-oversexed female castmembers and no dainty antagonists.I recently finished Hajime no Ippo and I WANT MOAR!!
They need more Japanese fans into the series as well as more money.
So everyone in this thread should buy both games and then go to Japan and force people over there to buy both games.

I know, that's what absolutely boggled my mind when I first read the news. I bought 999 on a whim shortly after it came out, little did I know it would become one of my favorite games. The US fanbase is surprisingly big which makes me happy so learning that the Japanese fanbase isn't (which feels strange because a chunk of the team behind Zero Escape also worked on the Beyond Infinity series which got a handful of ports and or remakes in Japan because of how good they sold), just made me blink quite a bit in confusion.

The way the voice directors and Justin Cook had Yusuke come across in the English dub will always be memorable to me. I don't think he ever had another lead role after that. Unfortunate. Last anime I remember him being in is Darker Than Black as that first Contractor that could levitate.

Eh a friend with great taste recommended that one to me, I'm actually playing through it right now and loving it

Just got done with the first arc of Gurren Lagann, and can finally pronounce it correctly.
I shall add this one to the Hat of Fandoms. But which part? Yoko's Skull, or Team Dai-Gurren's logo?
