Oh, there is such a thing as oversexing. If I showed klk to any of my friends, then they'd think that I was introducing them to a hentai. Only seasoned anime fans can watch stuff like that without being uncomfortable.

 

I don't think it has that much to do with being a "seasoned anime fan". I am one.

And blatant fanservice often vexes me.

 

 

Speakign of which, I forced myself to watch more of KLK. Why do so many of he fights feel like pointless fillers? We already know the main protag is 10 times stronger than the elite four. Her outfit is a 10 star, theirs is a 3-star (and a 1-star can't even hurt a 3-star). Plus, she has a weapon that will take them out in ONE hit. All of the elite 4 basically have powers that are all a variation of "you can't hit me because I can see your moves/am invisible/can fly/can reflect your attack back"..  Made even more evidently by the fact they hit her a thousand times during those battles, and she shrugs it off. And then gets a new crazy power because the plot sez so, hits them one - battle over. Frak, even Golden Age Superman wasn't this bad.

 

Also Satsuki is bland, uninteresting character. Her "fake" greatness is over-the top and showed in your face worse that a Jehova Witnesees pamphlet.

But please don't bad mouth one of the few threads where you can actually ESCAPE from the BSN's supposed 'toxicity.' It's rather contradictory from your tastes.

 

I never bad mouthed the anime everyone else liked (Unless you were talking to that guy and not just the two of us), all I said was I never posted because there weren't conversations about what I watch, thus, I didn't find any reason to join in.

Not to mention that "toxicity" is relative and many things could be considered "toxic".

To bring our topic of KlK back around to much swooning, finished 19-21 last night!

Swoon, the fake nail. Swoon, Satsuki rocking Senketsu *and* Nudist Beach gear in the same episode. That tenacity. To give Ryuko even a bit of love here in this little tag, the end of 21 really was pretty damn amazing and made me grin. That and she was pretty great in her 'No fucks given, I'm currently a villain' mode.

 

Getting close to the end now! I'll probably finish it tonight. I have to say that I'm trying not to hype myself up for whatever the final battle will be but it's hard not to with this show.

Captain Earth has me intrigued. Seems fun enough though I'm not quite sure what the hell is going on just yet outside of "we need this Mech to protect the Earf from (probably)alien mechs."
