Just doing the obligatory throw my hat in for recommending Kill la Kill! 
No one is surprised to see that naturally I'm only going to recommend Madoka Magica *but* it helps to know if you're interested in deconstruction series. If you are, The list of my recommendations will get a fair bit longer. 
And as someone who has regularly fallen off the anime train periodically, I can say that it's definitely a great time to get back into it, Stormheart. Some amazing stuff has come out in the last few years.

My recommendations would be 1. Attack on Titan, 2. Madoka Magica, 3. Kill la Kill

I have never actually bothered to read a manga before lol guess that's why I like Full Metal.

I'd recommend full metal panic, if you're down with comedy animes.
What kind of things do you like to watch, or want to watch next?
I recommend Non Non Biyori.

I just started watching anime again after stoping for oh... About 12 years any recommendations?
Were you one to watch Evangelion and the likes? In that case, Paranoia Agent and the rebuild Eva movies.
Then, Tatami Galaxy, .hack/SIGN, Katanagatari, definitely Katanagatari (btw, haven't really seen others mention whether they've seen it or not... if not, WATCH), Ghost Hound, Noein, Shinsekai Yori, Zetsuen no Tempest maybe. Oh, and they reanimated JoJo. Pretty fun to watch.

Only Fumoffu! is comedy.
The rest is your usual angsty mecha show with dysfunctional teens.

Haha to be honest I just kinda lost interest in it. But a friend recently convinced me to watch Attack On Titan and all I can really say is Wow! Oh and I just started Full Metal and watched the movie Sword of a stranger.

Some nice recommendations there, I'm going to second Shin Sekai Yori because it deserves waaaaay more recognition then it's gotten.

Excellent, EXCELLENT, i really do like what i'm reading! Now all that is required is your unconditional surrender to Lady Satsuki.. also it's totally awesome to adore Nonon aswell

Sword of the stranger is a anime movie it's a little over a hour long I really enjoyed it. Some may consider it a little tame compared to what is out nowadays but I thought it was good it's a take on the cynical bodyguard theme.Sword of the Stranger?

Considering I haven't updated the topic at all on my progress with it, I'll also third the recommendation for Shinsekai Yori. Going to pick up at 19 in a bit and needless to say, it's been an astounding trip so far. You folks can mostly thank Isi for taking the brunt of my gushing about it. I'll more than likely put something up once I finish it though.
