The first dub epsiode of Attack on Titan is there on kissanime.com if you guys are interested.
 
I'll need to see just how much those 2min clips represent the quality of the dub as a whole. As you know, I wasn't really impressed by them.
 
So I skipped through it, and looked at the important bits, you know, like the end of episode one...
 
Oh god... this dub... I've seen hentai dubbed better than that.

Just go look at the end, this is a REALLY powerful scene, and just hear Hannes' VA, he sounds like a freaking WWE star trying to sound 'bad-ass.' There's no sublte undertone, no compassion... it's so freaking... ugh ><
 
AND EREN! DON'T GET ME STARTED ON EREN! F*CK ME! Erren is SCREAMING in the sub, he is literally ripping his lungs apart with those cries of horror and pain... all we get is a cheesy "Noooo?" I'm seriously dreading Armin's scream with Eren's 'death.' The one that was kinda alright was Travis (Mustang) but even then... eehhh, nahh... nothing on the the Japanese VAs.
 
Yeah they f*cked up real good. It's not just the delivery of the line, it's some the alterations too

Maybe it's because I've watched it 3 times subbed, but even so... you have some good dubs, hell, FMAB is just great, and Steve Blum was perfect as Spike. Code Geass and Death Note too, but the latter was mainly due to L's VA.
 
This needed a lot of care, I mean, it's AoT for god's sake! Funimation should have treated this as a really special case and gone full-out "we can't f*ck this up" mode.
 
Eren's mum was good though... too bad she dies.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it -- I thought TFS' abridged version was the best way to enjoy AoT in form of a dub.

No matter what i would pick it would most likely not be able to compare to FMA:B. One of the reasons why i went with Gurren, it wont try to compete with it, it want to go in its own direction and it will if anything suffice until i collect an even larger amount of animes and dig up more diamonds. 

 

And lets face it, Mustang doesn't exist in other animes. They are already doomed from the get-go!

Petras dub from the preview was not bad what I'm more concerned about is Eren. Erens va already failed at a key scene, in the first goddam episode >.>

None of the puzzles gave me much trouble throughout the game.

But there is one thing I cannot stand.

****** Sudoku.

calm-down edit: To be fair, it was probably actually a pretty easy Sudoku puzzle.

Still, I spent about 30 minutes before I remembered there was another rule in Sudoku... The one where each box also contains all 9 numbers. I had been trying to solve it using only the line rule.

After that, solving the rest was simple enough. Still kinda feel like I failed and let Akane get incinerated six times over, but hey, the puzzle wasn't actually timed, don't blame me for that.

A Dhampir lines up nicely though, that's a child of a human and a vampire.

They tend to have long black hair, and have no shadow, as well as sharing some of the weaknesses of vampires, one being weak in sunlight.

 

She has black hair, doesn't have a shadow, and it was at night when she shows up, it also matches up with the second letter, because she could turn him into a vampire, thus making him undead."Bringing them togeather with death"

 

I sense a feud between the Dullahan and the Dhampir, one trying to keep him alive, the other trying to turn him

Saw the dub episode 1 of Attack on Titan on my DVR.

 

Not bad, pretty good so far in fact. Much better than hentai dubs that's for sure. But then again hentai dubs are amazing. And no reason to use Family Guy meme pics over it. There is never a reason to use Family Guy in anything. Unless you are saying it sucks then you can go crazy with it.

 

But that's just my view on the dub. I still say the manga is better than the anime anyway so I don't care that much about it.

 

 

Oh and Sim they took the episode off Toonami, the reason why the theme was cut down is because over here we don't have theme songs that long, because of ad time. The blu-ray/dvd sets will have it be right don't worry. So not a problem of the dub, that's a problem with American tv. lol

But overall, not that bad. Anti-Spiral is really good dub voice though

Nia was Starfire so she was fine for me.

I'll always give both dub and sub a fair shot. I used to far more prefer sub to dub in the past but since i started watching anime again it's more on a case by case basis. FMA:B had an absolutely fantastic dub where as no matter who voice who in KLK i'll not for half a second consider a dub becasue the voices has become to iconic. I'll place myself in the "whatever feels best" camp on sub and dubs. 

 

Unless Bailey voice in the dub, then it's going to be dub i choose.

Agreed, there is only some characters I felt where better in the dub(Yoko, Spiral King and Kamina) and in the sub(Viral, Kittan and Leeron) everyone else was on par imo.
