I simply think that characters like Jean are far more interesting then him. The reason why Levi got a huge fanbase is simply because he is Trunks 2.0. And don't get me started on his ridiculous sonic the hedgehog combat style.
I don't dislike him, but I'm not part of his fanbase either.

Going to finish The Tatami Galaxy sometime tomorrow during Mother's Day (I'm a terrible son) after starting it so long ago, leaving me in the unfortunate predicament with nothing to really watch. I've been "burned out" for the last little while and I hadn't looked towards anything for a while, I've looked at what I downloaded prior to burn out and it leaves me with two choices: Eureka Seven or Mawaru Penguindrum.
I've heard good things about both series. I tried to watch Eureka Seven before but the first episode's poorly delivered exposition made me want to avoid the series entirely, something which bothers me because I really do wish to give this show it's due. On the other hand, I looked up and found Penguindrum's second opening song has been stuck in my head.
Any advice on which of the two I should lean on?

Dunno 'bout you guys, but this was the moment SnK sold Levi for me:
It was simply such an unexpected image from a rather dark show like SnK that I couldn't help but fall in love with him.

I just love the guy. Why?

Dave: Penguindrum gets my vote, but it helps to know that I'm a horrible Ikuhara fangirl so when it was released, I lost my damn mind. 
It might not have been quite on the same level of Shoujo Kakumei Utena (or Revolutionary Girl Utena if you'd rather use the translated title) as far as having the sort of storyline that people still debate 20 years later, but it was still wonderful imho, and if you have seen the latter, there are a handful of little nods back. I've actually been meaning to rewatch it myself, since it's been a few years. Probably going to line it up after I rewatch SKU, but there's a handful of not yet seen series that I'm going to tackle first.

Or in the forest when he manages to make the whole tense situation more calmer by telling Eren to look at these big ass trees.
Admittedly I loved the character during Erens trial. That was where I really started to like the character.
