Thing is, I don't think the English VAs could capture the utter absurdity of some of the dialogue. There is no way "PIGS IN HUMAN CLOTHING" will sound the same in English as it would in Japanese. KLK is so brilliantly over the top and wacky that it needs crazy people only found in Japan to do it correctly. Especially those finishing moves, man. Those are just awesome.

Yeah, there's a reason the Fandub I was cast in for KLK fell through. We just couldn't match the ridiculousness of the dialogue well.

Eh Gurren Lagann was just as OTT as KLK and the dub of that was outstanding (and infinitely better than the sub).

Watched them both. KLK was far wackier. I agree that the dub was great, and don't get me wrong, hearing Lelouch in the second half was great. But KLK is far more action packed, so it comes with a lot more screaming, finishing moves and just random crazy stuff.
And infinitely better? Hmm... as much as I liked the character, Kamina was kinda 'meh' and some others too. But overall, the dub was really good, yeah.

Yeah, Brad Swaile is something alright, a shame he isn't in anything other than Death note and Black lagoon.

Halfway through Ghost in the Shell and its most excellent. I like how some of the episodes focus on a specific member of the team and others involve the entire team to move forward the plot. Also, some of the episodes contain big mindf*cks which makes them even more amazing.
