Ähem ... Black Lagoon - Roberta's Blood Trail.

And then there's this:

So got about 3-4 episodes left of Gurren Lagann and there's just something about machines the size of moons and planets that just make it feel so very right

Still at planet sized mechas?

Wait for the finale, just wait for it.

Saw both long time ago :D, and notice that I wrote one of.....; thus I was implying that Gundam Unicorn was of few  OVA's that I liked. xD

There's one where Dutch comes out as a freaking gardener and I died of laughter. Then Revy showed up and the blood started pumping again.

Will finish Gurren Lagann tonight, quite looking forward to the bombastic stuff i've been promised. Then the rough task of deciding the next anime will be mine. Not looking forward to choosing between the million i got on the list

Bittersweet ending man, didn't like it. I mean, it was good looking at it objectively, sure. But f*ck objective I don't want bittersweet is something that was being so badass xD I wanted my KLK good ending with a touch of sadness (Senketsuuuuu.)

Okay, what do you have in mind? Like what do you feel like watching next? I'll recommend something,

P.S - why is buying manga so expensive? FMA is 200+ dollars on ebay >< I wouldn't mind buying volume by volume but ffs it doesn't work that way. You'll find 1 2 5 and 8 in english but then the rest are in some language for god knows which country.

I've gotten used to seeing the characters i like die one after another, House can testify how i've sworn to stop liking characters since that apparently get them killed! Now Yoko, Leeron and Nia are the ones that i really quite like and have yet to kick the bucket.

I'm mostly up for anything that's not that much like Gurren Lagann at the moment, want something different. It can be upbeat as hell, it can have engaging story and characters or just be the craziest stuff ever.

I just finished up a series called Texhnolyze. It was pretty cool. The show reminded me a lot of Ergo Proxy with the ideas that it presented, and the way the story was delivered was one of the most unique experiences I've had with anime. I loved how it presented it's themes rather than telling the audience what the themes were. Since they did that, the people who view it are allowed to create their own meaning through the show. If you wanna watch something a little bit different, then give this show a watch.

For laughs I'd go for Ouran Highschool Hostclub then finish that off with the manga. Oh the dub is brilliant.

For something short and sweet I'd say Time of Eve. A really great anime, and only 6 episodes long.

For a GREAT Slice of Life experience with amazing characters, a great story, and elements of just about anything INCLUDING good sci-fi I'd say go for Planetes. I think the guys in charge of Bebop did that too. It has a good dub too.

For a feels fest WATCH ANOHANA! Clannad's there too, but I don't know if you've already seen that.

Ghost in the Shell - but I don't know if you've seen it. Perhaps one of the best out there and its dated really  well. It's hard to believe it came out ten years ago. Ghost in the Shell is the epitome of mature anime. WITHOUT the need for excessive gore or fanservice. It's reaaaaly good and the dub is f*cking fantastic too. One of the best dubs out there, I'd say it's on there with FMAB in terms of the quality of the dub.

Plus you have this legend

batou.jpg

Just look at his smile. It's so adorable xD even though he could kill you with one straight punch hahaha.

Since the manga is so freaking great, another good slice of life which is VERY different from the typical highschool stuff is Silver Spoon. It's from the same woman who did FMAB so you know you'll get good laughs. Silver Spoon was one of the best reads I've had in ages. It's a down to earth slice of life, but it doesn't forget its telling a very character driven narrative, too.

Cowboy Bebop - goes without saying. But I'm not sure if you've seen this one. You've probably had.

Errrr.... what else...

I mean, there's tons, but those up there will not disappoint you at all. Whichever you choose you're gonna have a great time.

inb4 Isis...

PMMM is a great choice as well, hehehe.

Again, sorry if you've already seen these. My memory is being used atm for useless school stuff. Don't worry, once I get these exams out the way I'll be able to utilise it properly.

I've actually been watching that for some odd reason even though it falls into the category of the kind of anime I wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole (the occasional exception like Full Metal Panic).

It is oddly meta and grounded in some sort of ironic retro-eyes-rolling-180-degree-inside-the-skull camp feel of self-deprecation with its effeminate androgynous teenage high schoolers making exaggerated passes at random women, and even some homoeroticism. There's something genuinely amusing about how it seemingly places these archetypes of your a-typical high school anime unto a stage, and mocks and/or calls attention to its silliness -- while not being disheartening or too out of context with itself.

If sociology wasn't occupying 3/4 of my brain right now I'm sure I would have understood that.

Sorry, Chris. It's more frustrating than anything atm. My love for literature and analysis is having to be cramped in a f*cking corner packed away in a trolley and thrown into the abbys JUST so I can focus on that damnable subject.

IT'S NOT EVEN THAT HARD!

But the naaaaaaaaaaaames, dude, it's the freaking NAMES!

The ironic thing is, give me a Tolkien book and I can name you the seven sons of Feanor the next freaking day. It's killing me slowly. My life is this kinda stuff, but in order to pursue literature in university I have to put up with this sh*t for another month.

This is why I've been avoiding any anime REMOTELY similar to Ghost in the Shell and just going for the lighter ones.
