Talk is cheap. Which is why I'm going for it. Whether or not I end up dead because of it isn't a concern of mine. If you die doing something you love to do, is it really something to be afraid of? There are quite a few things in this world that are worse than being dead. Living a long, depressing, shell-of-a-life is one of them.

Just to let you know I edited my post a little bit about Oda's life. And to add to that, I have no problem with dying doing what you love to do. But I just don't think I could do that to my loved ones.

I'm not on the best of terms with my loved ones. I understand that it makes me pretty selfish, but oh well I suppose. It's not really a habit of mine. I can afford it this once.

I would not call out little chats in the past "arguing" more like debate since I was in debate mode during those chats.
They were not good debates(on both sides) anyway, so this was a more nice serious discussing. I mean I don't try to be a d!ck, I just get passionate about writing and stuff, you know the "what you can do" and "what you can't do" in writings or any media for that matter.
F**k I want to be a history teacher more than anything but I love writing, and will try to be a writer as a side-job in the future.

I'm just hot-headed. If I feel like I'm being challenged or insulted, I respond accordingly. Mostly because people in my life have chosen to walk all over me when I tried to stay calm and polite, so now it's like a self-defense thing.
I've actually never written much of anything, but I've been drawing for fun almost my entire life. And while I may not be much of a writer, I am good at plotting.
But yeah, no hard feelings.
@Laotar My favorite motivational quotes are all from Gurren Lagann, lol.

I would never go as far as to say I was good. When it was said earlier that there are people out there that are much more qualified than myself to write/draw manga, that was true.

Plotting is not that hard for me, or worldbuilding for that matter. It's the characters I have a problem with, the only good or cool ones I make, I end up making their life hell or killing them off. I am not a nice creator to my characters. The problem is every other character I write, who have a "good life"(not really) and stay alive, I think I make them too boring or too sarcastic(for better or worse).

I like killing main characters. A lot of people think it's cliche, but nothing hits me worse in an anime than seeing one of my favorite characters die.

Well, it's been changing over the years. I've always done better with things like manga-esque drawings though.
Although like 2 years ago I had a Scott Pilgrim phase, and I got really good at drawing that kinda thing. Not that Bryan Lee O'Malley has a difficult art style to learn, but it looked pretty decent.

I thought his character wasn't really needed. I don't think L should have stayed alive and beaten Light. not Near.

You should try making graphic novels or use the western comic style format, but with your own art style. A good way to improve your drawing skill is by rendering still lifes, self portraits, or draw your significant other in the nude, Titanic style. Also what college do you attend or are you a still highscool student? Depending on where you live, and if you can afford it, i can recommend an art school.Logan Cloud wrote...

I've thought about it, but honestly, the reason I like anime/manga more than western stuff is entirely because of the art. I love the way it's drawn. Especially the eyes and hair. Those always stand out for whatever reason.
And I don't have a significant other, so me drawing anyone in the nude would be pretty uncomfortable. XD
I'm in highschool right now though.

What's your writing speciality?
I add drama, tragedy, romance and a bit of comedy to them but I really try to write deconstructions, so my writing at times can come as formula fiction, but not really. If any of that makes sense.
