This reminds me of one of the most disturbing episodes I have ever seen in a anime.
Spoiler
I dunno why but that episode just gives me the creeps like nothing else.
But that's really the darkest the show gets. It's a sad episode though, really sad.

That feeling is just horrible! To at least try (and fail) to combat it i'm picking the next anime to watch a while before i'm done. Always ends the same though, the last 30 min before i start watching i don't even know what to do. If only i could get a mindwipe and watch KLK or AoT with a fresh mind..

Sure, but then again people forgot all about a character like AC/DC before this new anime came around.
And that makes me sad.

I got an anime for you that I'm willing to bet you haven't watched.
Its only 6 episodes, each around 40 minutes and it contains quite some ecchi.

Man don't tease me, tell me what it is! xD I was gonna go for something short and simple anyway. Something with around 13 episodes and a comedy. Could use a few laughs, because I'm still being bitter about the 'bitter' in Samurai Champloo's sweet ending.
@Geth, that scene was so disturbing and hilarious at the same time. Especially Joesph's reaction.
@Kaiser, that must be the craziest thing I've heard you say since my time in the BSN... I applaud you.

The title is Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi, but in english its called: Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne.
Its not like every other anime out there. Its about an immortal female detective and her partner, but not some crime series thing.
You can go for either the dub or the sub. Both are excellent. I watched it in sub.

If I could wipe my mind and experience anything again it would be PMMM (Shock!) even though it was actually an incredibly emotionally draining series. No point on AoT since it's not even done yet though, I imagine we still have ton of crazy twists to go. KLK would be a good one, although nothing beat watching that weekly.
Hmm Sim what kind of anime are you in the mood for?

Baccano is the sort of anime you can watch again -- That and Durarara! (especially when the second season arrives).
I'd suggest do that or alternatively -- Give Full Metal Panic a shot. It's also an anime that shifts between comedy and grittyness

Comedy, really, something simple.
Samurai Champloo blew it out the park for me. I really did not expect that. But yeah, as exams go closer my brain can't seem to handle things as well. I even went so far as to look up articles to read on the thematic significance Champloo etc etc... stuff I wouldn't have normally done before.
So Haruhi Suzamiya stuff and crap like that xD but I've got plenty of things listed, so dw :-)

Yeah, it's definitely on the list :-) I've had that there for ages.

I think what's great about Watanabe is his ability to adapt certain elements of western animation with eastern -- Champloo is a prime example of how great anime can be when it's at its best. Take elements of hip-hop, tales of Samurais and Feudal Japan, mix it up with the usual eastern approach to narrative crafting, in the form of social realism to make it somewhat grounded in reality. It's partly historical with made-up fictional characters, events, etc. which only stands attest to what I mentioned earlier. The subtlety of the music, which usually involve dwelling on a mood, the sound of rain, a dimmed street corner or a Hollow planet, and the characters coming off as being believable portrayals of people. I liked how the ending also reflect what was great about Bebop's ending. Spoilers ahead, so I'll mark it.
I'm even betting that it's one of those animes that you'll notice things you missed the first time round.
That's an understatement. Think of Baccano like a Jigsaw puzzle. The first viewing is essentially you assembling all the pieces, the second viewing serves to put all the found pieces into their rightful place. The beginning is the end, the end is the beginning. Heck it has that Tarantino & Guy Richie feel to it with its over-the-top violence, and Snatch inspired openining, plus the music. Anyway, watch it again. ![]()

I'd discuss Samurai Champloo with you more if I could remember more about it beyond how much I enjoyed it and how great the fight scenes were.
Hmm Watamote is one of the best anime comedies I've seen. Only 13 episodes too. It basically follows this school girl who's extremely anti-social and in complete denial over it. It's a bit hard to watch because of how awkward it gets, but it's glorious at the same time.
Epic awkwardness describes the show well. I think you'd like it.
It's not a comedy but you should consider giving Shin Sekai Yori a try too eventually. 26 episodes, its pacing is different then what I've normally come to expect in an anime but it has one of the best stories I've seen in anime too. It's probably my 2nd favorite anime out there right behind you know what and definitely what I would call a hidden gem.
