Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking along these lines.
We have Pain being manipulated by Obito being manipulated by Madara being manipulated by Kaguya.
Personally, I was a fan back when we found out Obito was manipulating Pain. It made him seem bad ass that he could manipulate such a strong willed character. But overall, I think Naruto's overstayed its welcome. The five Kage Summit arc was the last good one (imo).

It's just like Bleach trying to reveal that Ichigo is a Quincy. It's the same twist just recycled over and over.
I remember when quinces use to be those losers who got wiped out easily, now they're the big bad's of the series? Lol

Wait, that's really what they did with Bleach? Damn. I remember loving the Soul Society Arc. All of Ichigo's transformations up until that point were great and served the overall story.
Well, I'm looking forward to watching it after LOGH xD
P.S I've heard that voice before, the guy with the white hair. He's from JoJo I'm sure of it.
Yea he voices Joseph, if you watch Gintama then watch JOJO it becomes infinitely more funny because JOJO acts exactly like Gintoki, well without the posing.
In some of Gintama's best episodes absolutely nothing happens, they just sit around that table blanket thing you see in Japan and talk.

Just banter? Awesome! I'm definitely going to watch it soon then
And he voiced Joseph? I'll need to chop a finger off to regain my honour for missing that one.
It'll be another excuse to give my Naruto/Bleach/Freezing-fanboy gym partner to stop bugging me about Naruto xD
Killer Bee and the Raikage were the last things I liked about Naruto. Mind you, it sucks that they went for Naruto's BS but they were pretty cool dudes.
Oh and Karui too. When she punched the sh!t out of Naruto she went right into my favorite things about Naruto book. It is a very short book.
Most of the characters from the Cloud village are pretty cool.

Zabuza & Haku FTW 4 Evar, everyone else is da shiet compared to them.
Actually, in retrospective, the Land Of Waves arc is the series pinnacle in terms of both character development, villian quality, story tension and high quality fight(s). Everything after that just tries to consecutively outdo itself, but never quite catches that level of quality on EVERY aspect of the story like the Land Of Waves arc had. And that's only comparing to the still halfway decent arcs up to Pain's Attack on Konoha Gakure, everything after THAt is just plain crap.
This weeks "No Game No Life" episode really added to an already fantastic anime. Might be my favorite anime from spring. Started of a bit awkward but now it's one of the highlights of every week. So good!

This one's on the 'wait till finished' list. I hope it won't take years because I'm really dying to watch it.
I didn't like the Pain arc at all, it was pretty sh!tty. Land of Waves arc was really, really good but I say the Chunin arc is just a little bit better when it comes to the things you bring up. It was a bigger arc but it worked. It had great character stuff and great new characters like Lee and the rest. Good villains. And still has the best fights in the whole series. It being a rip-off of the first HxH arc in some ways helped too! And most of all everything that happened actually did matter.
At the time anyway. The later stuff brings us Zabuza and Haku zombies and it retconned Gaara's backstory. So even the good stuff had to get shat on.

Unfortunately it all goes downhill after the Soul Society arc (which I thought was great too btw)

It's nearing the end so before you know it the season is over and my bro can get caught up so i can gush over this with you! Almost as fun as the anime itself!
Either way, Jormungand is better than anticipated now when i got 7 episodes behind me. All i really need to do was to start every episode with the idea that it will be so very silly and it's not bad at all. Great action and great amount of silly and crazy. Bro know good animes!

I'm glad you like it bro! I find it has a good mix of drama, comedy and action, so even when things get darker (and in some episodes they get really dark) you'll still find humour in it to lighten up the mood.
Oh, and have you come to this ost yet?
I have no idea why I love it so much xD
As for no game no life...
It's finishing? But it's only at episode 9 :-(
Hopefully there will be a second season then.
Oh and I finished watching Chuu...something or...
Well, this one.
Liked it a lot. A good romance, it was funny and had a strong message on reality and delusion. Sort of like the ultra-light and super bright version of Death of a Salesman. Did not expect it to go there. So yeah, this anime goes places.
Let's see how the second season does. I was watching this before the flood of other recommendation came, so I had to finish it >< xD

Willy Loman, god what a hilarious tragedy xD
Yeah this anime holds a special place in my heart.
Rikka/Yuuta are my favorite couple ever. So freaking adorable together.
2nd season is ok but it definitely didn't hit the same emotional heights as season 1 did. Plus dat ending... I can respect a good trolling but totally not the time and place for it.
