Wait, the ending for which one? Season 2? Am I going to leave with a bitter taste in my mouth? :S

 

Season 2. And no, its not really something you should worry about well watching the season.

 

I'll try to be vague but basically they focus more on the comedic element rather then the emotional payoff aspect at the very end. It's not going to particularly sour your opinion of the show or anything, it just wasn't the best spot for it to happen on.

 

I admit that I'm a bit bias in this situation though, since Rikka/Yuuta's relationship is what keeps me watching the show. I don't really find a lot of the humor particularly funny (the silly poses always manage to make me laugh and grin though) same thing with the secondary characters, I couldn't care less about any of them.... Ok well there is another character in S2 I ended up liking a lot (despite everything in the show leading me to believe I'd end up hating her) surprisingly enough, but the rest they could remove from the show entirely and it would not effect anything for me.

More Gintama:

Man I love Gintama, its the only anime that has ever made me cry. But I was crying with laughter. Its takes a while to find its stride about 20 episodes in but damn after that it gets funny.

Yeah. In some of the arcs it has those tragic romantic feelings that made me (almost) shed tears. Nice addition to the humor of the rest of the series.

I'm glad you like it bro! I find it has a good mix of drama, comedy and action, so even when things get darker (and in some episodes they get really dark) you'll still find humour in it to lighten up the mood.

Liked it a lot. A good romance, it was funny and had a strong message on reality and delusion. Sort of like the ultra-light and super bright version of Death of a Salesman. Did not expect it to go there. So yeah, this anime goes places.

 

Let's see how the second season does. I was watching this before the flood of other recommendation came, so I had to finish it >< xD

It's so far not gotten that dark so i'm quite happy that it seems to still be ahead of me. One of the last things that happened in my anime was the paintball exercise which was appropriatly amusing and it really just gave the crew a more family like aura which really work! And yeah i've reached that track and it's just perfect!

 

NGNL hopefully will have a second season, it wont be able to do all the things it has ligned up and all the stuff that will need to be done and etc. If the interest is there (It seems to be) and they gain enough from it then we should totally get more NGNL and YAAAAY for that!

 

Funny that you mention Chuu because it was exactly the anime that i considered to watch before you recommended Jormungand, really looking forward to seeing it but first more Koko cuz she's loco!

Wait, that's really what they did with Bleach? Damn. I remember loving the Soul Society Arc. All of Ichigo's transformations up until that point were great and served the overall story. 

 

Nothing about Ichigo is great.

Heck, most Shonen protagonist are super-talented and learn obnoxiously fast.

Damn Mary Sues that get whatever power they need.

 

Ichigo is one of the worst offenders (but there are many).

In 3 days gets to the level of several hunderd years old Shinigami.

Goes from never holding a sword in his life to becoming a super-master swordsman in a month or two.
