Luckily I have no idea who he is so I enjoyed the dubs of Another. I think you will like it although I thought the last big reveal was kind of weak.
He's the main comic relief of Clannad... well, the 'idiot' of the cast xD
Every time he comes up anywhere I immediately think of him ![]()

Dio is an *******, I just want to slap him although I admit he can make me laugh from time to time.

Ben-To was sooooooo f*cking good. It's hilarious and the characters are a lot of fun. Especially the chick with the huuuuuuge yaoi fetish. She writes her 'novels' and uses the fights of the main protagonist as 'inspiration.'
Needless to say, it has the best special episode of any anime ever.

This is really something only an anime can pull off perfectly xD
School girls reading porn seemed to be something of an emerging trend back then. You saw it in a couple, and it was always the deadpan delivery that sold it. That, and the escalating tension between speaker and audience: which is more embarassing, reading porn or listening to it?
Glad you enjoyed Ben-To, though. It's the kind of silly and so utterly enjoyably non-pretentious anime that I wish would get continued, but know probably never will be.

You always have the light novels... but I don't know if it would work as well in prose. However, knowing how god-awful fan-translations and translations in general can be, it'll probably be a not-so-good read.
In other news...
Nothing is better than finding out your FMA Complete manga + goodies have arrived after some damn good lesbo hentai. Now it rests beside the shelf with all my Tolkein books. Not even Martin had that honour.

Holy sh*t, these deaths in 'Another' are so gory it's awesome. Makes Final Destination seem like a romantic comedy xD

**** it, I started re-watching NGE, FMA:B and Hataraku Maou sama

Yup, that's why I loved Another; I can hope Tokyo Ghoul will be the same or similar enough, **** the censoring.

You know, I actually tried to find even a summary. I had no luck.

**** yes Adventure Time memes, my life is now complete. So I started watching Kill la Kill again but I'm kind of losing interest in it, I think it's because they are taking the DBZ approach to combat as in she gets her ass kicked then comes back stronger beats the villain then wait for it... Gets her ass kicked again next episode.

Or how 'bout the non-meme version:

Yeah you make a good point maybe I'm being a little over critical of it. I'm still near the beginning of KLK so might as well enjoy the crazy ride.At least in KLK it doesn't take 50 episodes. Thats the key difference between KLK a show like DBZ, the pacing is like the exact opposite.

If you have the same opinion after 14-15 episodes then it's quite different but don't give up this early. The anime has barely picked up yet
Random question:
could anyone recommend me a dark Noir-style anime?
Something like Darker than Black, Psycho Pass, or Persona:Trinity Soul in terms of art style. Some light supernatural elements, maybe with conspiracy theories. I realize this is a very specific request, so no worries if nothing comes up.
Some options I'm considering now:
Texhnolyze
Gungrave
Heat Guy J
Serial Experiments Lain
Any opinions on the above are appreciated.

Have you seen Ergo Proxy already?
Just completed all of Jormungand and it was about as enjoyable as i was told it would be. First half was quite grounded and a bit more entertaining than the second half. Very much, if not all of the anime really hang on how someone think of Koko and i'd probably be understating things if i called her crazy. She's absolutely more than crazy and towards the end i did have a "wait.. what?" moment with her. The rest of the cast was above average but none that i really will remember in a few months. Will only recommend if you have nothing to really watch or just want something a bit similar to Black Lagoon. Just don't hope for any Revy and you might enjoy it.
Now to decide on what to watch next. The list is getting pretty massive by now

I managed to catch the first episode after finishing a rerun of Darker than Black.
I liked the art style/protagonist, but had a bit of trouble keeping up with the plot. Granted, one episode isn't really enough to judge that kind of stuff.
Would you give it a recommendation?

You will need more than one episode to keep up with the plot, ehehe.
I can give it a recommendation. It is fairly unconventional though. And I can asure you, if you come back after eight episodes and want to call me out on BSing you, it does have a plot.
