Don't come back screaming bloody murder at Lolicons as if you weren't warned.
I on the other hand am enjoying Hitsugi no Chaika. Maneating Unicorns getting bisected lenghtwise by a magic sniper rifle is a new one for me and shows much promise. And one of the protagonists bored enough to want back war, because why the hell not, fighting and killing demand is in recline during that stupid peacetime.
Yuk yuk yuk.

Yay! Where are you up to so far?
Watched the first two episodes.
It's enough to get a feel for this one I dare say.
Pretty much. You haven't came across my biggest problem with the show yet but you also haven't came across the most epic joke.
Right, anime.... the whole damm E3 made me forget about that xD
Still busy as usual with Clannad. Might actually watch 3 more episodes tonight.
.... if I feel like it >_>

Chaika is more about the lolis than PMMM tbh... since it involves romance tension with said lolis. Because that's always great.
I thought the only loli PMMM had was Homura. The rest of the girls are just 14/15. On Chaika I know that there's one who's a
Chaika starts of great, has a little dip halfway through or so but the last two episodes have been up to what it promised in the beginning, last episode was fairly great!
Oh I forgot that was out. A new episode of no game no life is out as well. I'm still not sure how I feel about this one but the last two episodes were absolutely spectacular. If we get more episodes like that i'll be very happy.

I think I am applying the term incorrectly though. I just mean these small, young looking girls. Depends on the situation (and, to an extent, culture) whether it just looks problematic or actually is...

This weeks NGNL was good but compared to the last two it's nothing remarkable. That said the two before this one were both absolutely amazing

It certainly is problematic sometimes. Like when Chaika got sploshed with a sticky white liquid that creeped me the hell out. Though I suppose this is an anime problem in general no game no life has that whole tentacle soap business.

It was really good at showing Blank's massive weakness. They are so codependent it's scary.
A guy getting food from 4 hot chicks, only in anime

Everybody is hot in anime xD
To be honest, I never get the whole 'cook food for me' crap anime pulls. People cook for for x or y all the freaking time.
Also the need to say "that's delicious!" or "that's soooo good" with every single bite xD (award goes to Silver Spoon for this trope.)
They really need a character who goes "dude, this is sh*t" when he likes what he's eating. That's what I do at times. But not anymore because I always make my own f*cking food. That's what MEN do. I can't stand it if somebody offers to cook for me, I'm like

Mmm fooooooood!

Mako's mum's special would probably go down like a drinking a bucket of oil xD
At least she's happy tho' ![]()
We on food now?
I say again.
Everyone read Soma.
It's foodtastic and orgasmic because it's foodtastic.

If it's anything like ASOIAF's lengthy descriptions on how f*cking gorgeous a plate of food is then I'll be drooling like the idiot I am.

... now I'm getting hungry. Good thing I just got me my peanut butter KitKat Chunky out of the fridge.

It's much better than ASoIaF's food.
For one this is a series about food.
Unlike ASoIaF. Tho there is more food in that book series than the deaths, magic stuff and everything else.
Soma is still the better food series tho.

So finished the Rei OVAs for HaguLagu...
Gonna check this Shin Shin Pin thing Isi talked about.
Oh yeah. So it's sort of like what would happen if the world was like in X-men. It's based into the future to a point where humans have developed powers, however these powers are very much a double edged sword due to how destructive they make every single person. The show attempts to show how a society would actually form and develop under those conditions. The story focuses on a group of children who grow up in a village of people who have all developed these powers, though the village takes many precautions in order to protect its way of life.
I found it to be very atypical from your average fantasy story tbh. Despite having every character with superpowers there is a heavier focus on the society and world as well as how the characters personally develop under that setting. There's a few great fight scenes but the majority of it will be buildup and as a result it *could* seem slow paced to begin with, although I would strongly urge you to stick with it even if you feel that way, I can promise you everything that happens in the story has a purpose and is brought together in the final episode in a way that is brilliant and *immensely* satisfying. All of that said the 2 people I have talked into watching it (Ani and Mhmba) both found the pacing completely fine and actually questioned why I mentioned it so who knows.. you might feel the same.
Give it a try. It's definitely in my top 3 animes of all time, and it's incredibly under-appreciated. Let me know what you think!
(Btw it's 25 episodes long incase you were wondering)
Despite my reputation for being a PMMM fanatic here it was not that long ago that I was exchanging more then a few book posts with Mhmba about this series. Believe it or not it makes me even more happy to hear someone is watching this than PMMM, if only because of how few people I know that have actually seen it.
