Well, I finally finnished Clannad. I must admit, the last 5 episodes were really great 
It felt like it actually knew where it was going this time. Still some emotional stuff, but no heavy focussed sadness like during the first half of the series.
8/10
Now time to move onto something new. I'll keep After Story for another time.

After story is a lot better than the first season, imo, don't keep it too long, though. Else that Ushio arc won't hit you so hard.

So ages ago (I couldn't gush cos I was banned) I finally got my FMA manga.
So I'm at vol7 and it's really great. It's like an extended edition of the anime. Though the anime is absolute perfection (no bias at aaaallll hehe) the manga is the same... BUT WITH EXTRA STUFF!
So it's even better! Well... I can't say 'better' because I'm watching the anime again for the fourth time along with the manga (since my brain can't handle anything else atm and it goes to show just how I love FMA.) But yeah... in a way it's definitely better just because there are tons of extra stuff. The 'masked man' in the Island, the arm wrestling match, even plot points are explained better, just like how Lust was in the train with Ed and Al on the way to Resembool, so that's why she got to Marcho's location.
Other stuff the anime handled better. Namely the Hughes family and Nina.
Overall both are excellent and seeing how Silver Spoon is f*cking brilliant also, it just goes to show how amazing a mangaka Himoru Arakawa is.
She's also hilarious. Those side-stories and 'extras' are funny as ****.

So I have picked out a new anime to keep me busy for now. Hellsing Ultimate. Currently at episode 2 and I'm really loving it so far. The fact that each episode is around 50 minutes long is pretty cool. Normally I have my doubts about vampires, especially after that whole Twilight thing, but Hellsing has really surprised me so far. Badass protagonist with equal badass villains. The fact that one of them is called Anderson makes it even beter.

I was going to give it a go, but I got a lot of 'meh' reactions from people, so I wasn't sure. Keep us updated and I'll give it a shot. If the plot is generic/boring/shallow tell me so I can just switch off and enjoy its awesomeness

Well, the first Hellsing is apperantly really meh because it moved away from the manga after the first few episodes ala FMA. Ultimate is like Brotherhood, it follows the manga this time.
Maybe that's where you heard the meh's from?
But sure! I'll give you my thoughts at the end
