Ahhhh dear dear Rah. you too have fallen to the wonderful mind explosive that Isi and I call the caught you scene. X3 The funny thing there for me is that I personally had a little bit of that spoiled before seeing TRS. Long recap short: Tumblr spoiled Homucifer for me shortly after the movie hit theaters, then months later the blu ray trailer for TRS spoiled that the caught you scene happens. Mind you I watched that trailer at least a million times so it's kind of my fault but even that didn't prepare me for just how amazing the scene was going to be.  What's amusing most to me is that in that amazing moment, she split the fanbase pretty hard. Those that understand her way of thinking and don't view it as evil despite what she herself says (cause let's face it, in this new universe everyone is alive and Madoka stands a chance to finally live a normal life and then those that think she's a horrible human being. Yes her choice undermined Madoka's last wish but can you actually blame Homura? My five hour speech that I'll find you at some point brings up what I think is one of the most important things to remember when thinking in retrospect about that scene: The point in the series where Madoka and Junko are talking about making a mistake for someone, and how they might not understand that it's for the best immediately.

Usually i don't give any thought about spoilers because once i start watching it's like my mind just wipes any prior knowledge away. Didn't take that risk with PMMM or TRS. The one time it would fail would be here just to screw with me. Will be talking about this scene for a good while. Kyoko and Sayaka can wait, they are awesome that way 

 

I usually think ahead and try to predict what will happen in future scenes and every now and then i'm right and sometimes wrong but right about never do i end up so far from what actually happened like in that scene. PMMM made me question what i believe is right and what is wrong and Rebellion further made me question everything. I can't fault Homura at all for what she did, there're just nothing that i can say she shouldn't have done. I suppose i can understand why some people see it as evil but i just can't, maybe i am evil and should add that to my crazy.. And like you say, in this universe everyone is alive again and things are better. They don't have to risk death each and every day against the most foul witches like they had to before. Madoka can finally live HER life and not the life that Kyubey tried to force on her. I could say that Homura actually fullfilled Madoka's original wish for everything to be better and that she didn't get tricked. Homura is willing to take any blame, any scorn that people want to give her for her "mistake" just for Madoka's sake and that is incredibly beautiful and also so painful because after all that has happened i do want Homura to be truly happy, maybe Madoka can make that happen. Glad you mentioned that scene in the series with Madoka and Junko, it just made me more certain in Homura and what she did. 

 

She might call herself a demon but then i say she's a demon that i am more than willing to defend, she did good. Homura you did the right thing. Making the right thing is not always the easiest thing and people might not always understand but i do you wonderful heroine.

I promise I wasn't using my typical exaggeration for humor effect when I said it's 4,000 words of me fangirling. http://forum.bioware...ead/?p=16423103 I still to this day haven't finally put into words my feelings about the experimentation explanation scene but some day I will cause aside from the caught you scene, it might be one of my favorites ever, but really I include the actual explanation scene and basically everything leading up to the caught you scene in that chunk.

 

Someday it will happen. I just need to stop afiohafiohaihf about it and actually make real words.

I *still* giggle over the Dio as Nui shot that was found. X3 I do have Jojo on my list along with LotGH. Both have been for a loooooong time but as one might figure, I'm a ****** slacker sometimes. I'm sticking to my promise though and working on Black Lagoon once I'm caught up on SnK.

The talk about Madoka and Junko is something that at the time i found reasonable and a good advise but in no way did i expect it to be as huge of a deal as it would end up being. Here i thought it would only be for Sayaka and Madoka and the issues that had risen. Nope! If there's anything one should learn from PMMM is that whatever you think it mean is probably not that right, a bit perhaps. Homura take that advice 100 steps further than what Madoka tried with Sayaka and well blew my mind with awesomeness. While i really loved the scene to start with and believed it to be one of the better ones that i've ever seen, it's now when i with your novels   pick up all the pieces and put them together and some of the pieces come from somewhere very far away from the scene and normally would matter little. 

 

About Homura calling Madoka out for the fact that her kindness could bring about more tragedy really is heartbreaking in so many ways. First because it can be seen as a "broken" Homura trying to send a message to Madoka and have her not suffer anything that Homura did. But it's also heartbreaking because it is actually true, Madoka is so very nice that it's almost unbelieveable and yet all this goodness can come with a price. Now this also do make me remember that Kyoko says about the same thing to Madoka in the series when they are about to try to save Sayaka. After Kyoko has proposed to try to save Sayaka and asked if Madoka want to help and Madoka says she has to and asks to let Kyoko take Madoka with her. A smile from Kyoko and a "you're too nice".

Still falling very flat on what anime to watch after PMMM, i got tons to pick from but it's hard to pick anything after PMMM.

Rah: Don't you worry about needing a break either. I needed practically a month after writing that novella to make my brain actually capable of forming sentences again. There's a reason I haven't written too many books since, and that's mostly cause the thinky part is still hibernating a bit. I adore analysis but sometimes it exhausts me after the fact.

Post-PMMM that do sound very pleasant. Something so crazy that it let me try to stop the leak in my brain.

Just got home from work so I'll derp out a bit and let myself unwind before I type up anything (it was a long day) but I just wanted to let you know I didn't watch anything for a month after my PMMM watch Rah. It threw a giant cog in all my watching habits and took me a while to get back into the routine of things.

 

It makes me happy to see you gushing so much about Kyouko too btw She was awesome and deserves love

I will champion for Kyoko until i die! She is worth it! I love them all but it's just "something" that make me pick Kyoko over the others. She'll lead me to the side where i find other anime as interesting as i did before. Got a few animes that i might try.. those who live will see what comes up next on the anime front!

I know *exactly* what you mean. It's the exact same thing with me and Sayaka. When me and Ani did our rewatch I literally was stopping on *every* Sayaka scene as I watched just to reflect on how amazing she was.

 

That's one thing I love about this anime, it's so easy to connect to any of the girls and I've seen each girl acquire obsessive followers

 

When I'm feeling slightly less blah I'll write up a small gush post on Kyouko because she deserves it.

 

 

I can't help but laugh at what a loveable character Kyouko is for someone who causes so much trouble

Feel awesome first! That is always a top priority, one that i recall all the girls trying to remind each other 

She really do cause her share of trouble but it only increase how much i adore her. By now she might just set fire to my wardrobe and i will compliment the how warm the fire is. Also we both love apples!

Isi and I were just mumbling about how amusing it is that between the three of us iconwise, we have Kyouko, Sayaka and Homura covered. :3 Sometimes I think "Maybe it's finally time to change my icon since I've used this one everywhere since January of this year?" and then the rational side of my brain kicks in and reminds me how stupid of an idea that is. It's kind of sad that I got so used to associating said image with my accounts that when the proper art pops up on Tumblr, I blink a bit and have to remember that it's one of the first official arts that came out of *something something* Homucifer

 

Also Grief Seed. That one hasn't popped up on my dash in a good while so I'm happy to see it again.

That is quite awesome that tose 3 are covered! I might do a final sweep across tumblr and the internet to see if i can find any profile pic that "feels" better than this one but i've grown fond of it already. Been changing quite often over the last months and it wouldn't hurt if i managed to stick with one for more than a month or two. Been a while since i last did that. One thing is certain though, i will have Kyuoko covered for a very, very long time!
