So seen the first few episodes of Death Note and i can easily understand now why a lot of people would like it. The cat and mouse play is so incredibly entertaining to follow and Light isn't a bad character to follow at all, would actually say that i've already grown to like him. Might have something to do with his view on a lot of things. He clearly do the anime great "justice" and i'm really looking forward to following him around and see what crazy stuff he'll do next. 

Also the opening track is fairly amazing aswell, can never say that enough!

That was the point where I lost it honestly. I watched too many British crime drama to find that kind of chase engaging at all. I find L the worst 'supposedly' intelligent character in anime ever. Even with death gods flying around, I call bullshit on his logic. That's just too much to handle.

Wooh, I finally finnished Hellsing Ultimate. Geez those 50 minute episodes were long! xD Not to mention the final episode was 1 hour and 7 minutes....

 

Anyways, I definitely enjoyed this one. Something about vampires beign able to do crazy sh*t without sparkles felt really good.

 

Alucard is quite a unique fella, especially since he isn't exactly a good guy, yet at the same time he does fight for the "good' guys. His background was really well done and just really interesting with how they played it out.

 

The side characters were alot of fun; Seras Victoria was just really adorable and at the same time a strong woman who definitely hold her own. Integra Hellsing most of the time stole the scenes she was in simply because of her presence. 

 

The villains were great imo. At first they might come across as wanting to be evil for sh*ts and giggles, but it actually goes quite deeper than that. One of them that stood out for me - and was a definite favorite I couldn't help but root for the entire time - was Father Alexander Anderson. His action scenes with Alucard were just amazing. 

 

But won't I go too much into them because of spoilers.

 

I guess the flaw I could point out was that I didn't think the story was the best. But the characters really make up for it.

 

All in all I really enjoyed this anime and can totally recommend it to any anime fan out there that wants something with vampires and lots of action.

So I was really bored last night and was having a hard time finding a Mecha series to watch on Kissanime. I had spent damn near a hour scrolling through the list and was back into the E section and of course EVA was included in the list and despite the fact that I just knew that I would hate it I decided to watch EVA 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. So at first I didn't much care for It I thought the main character had no spine and was a coward but 40 minutes in it finely clicked that hey all the characters in this show are fucked, they are damaged goods living in a world under constant assault and their very homes are armored shells that can collapse into the ground with the press of a button, so I really started to think about friends I have that served in Iraq and how damaged they are(emotionally physically PTSD and other problems) and I quickly developed a new found respect for the characters and setting. So yeah I was wrong to just dismiss it as just a bunch if cry baby's and emo kids. I really enjoyed watching it and can't wait for EVA 4.0 and I am sorry about the wall of text my IPad doesn't allow my to skip down and do paragraphs.

 

Reminds me of IGN's list of top anime characters with Shinji as #1. They said something along the lines of: "sure he's a whiny and angsty, but who wouldn't be at that age in his situation?" and you know what? IDC if it's IGN that said it, they're right and props to them for actually putting some thought into that one (theres something I never thought I'd say..)

Funny enough I'm about to do the same thing.  I'd stayed away till now for no particular reason.  I plan on watching the Rebuild movies as my baseline and then compare those to the original series.  Since there are so many strong opinions about the series, I want to approach from a completely different angle than most fans did.  You know.  For science.
