End of Evangelion? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
If you watched the original series, may as well pick it up. It fleshes out unanswered questions from the original and is a more action-oriented take than the psychologically-charged one from the Infamous original ending. It's pretty damn disturbing, too. After the first time, I lost my passion for Orange Slushies.
I think I may try SteinsGate. Checked out 10 Must-See Anime You Can Watch Right Now(Legally). [Anime Intensifies]

Finished the second season of Squid Girl. Why the frak did I watch it? I don't know. But I don't regret it.
P.S. - The one flaw I can find in LOGH *IS* Reinhard. Not because of him as a character (altough he is sorta of a pompous d*** with a god complex), but because his age and promotion rate. What kind of military promotes you after EACH succesfull battle? Normal rewards for such things are medals, not instant promotions.
Especially to higher ranks, where experience is a key requirement.

Also, brace yourself for epsiode 80(-ish). It's around there somewhere.
Trust me there will be a lot of "NOOOOO!" and gnashing of teeth.
Let's jsut say that Attack on Titan, Game of Thrones and LOGH have one thing in common.

Been watching Tales of Vesperia: First Stroke
An anime prequel to the game Tales of Vesperia (excellent JRPG for the 360). It's actually pretty solid in terms of its technical showing, the choreaography is down to the earth gorgeous, and while the story is nothing to brag about in particular, it's solid enough to what one could expect and with one particularly well-placed sad scene. Also, it's worth it for the performance of Troy Baker & Sam Riegel (Teddie in Persona 4) alone, both returning from the game as the only ones, to voice their respective characters.
The bar scene here is quite entertaining.

They did very well on the dub. Yuri's start of the fight almost seems like something Spike from Cowboy Bebop would do XD. Art's clean and slick. Cool.

Ah I watched that it was surprisingly good. A really good explanation on Yuri (god I hate that name) and Flynn's past.

They made a Film based on it? Orly.

It's a prequel to the game -- Consistency speaking, it ties a lot better with the PS3 version of the game (only released Japan) as opposed to the Xbox.
Yeah, it actually does look like something Wantanabe could have produced, perhaps that's the reason I liked it a lot. It's a visually gorgeous film.

ANYTHING happens to Yang and I will cry myself to sleep for the next four years.
P.S there have been a few episodes that have been VERY gory. And I mean Saving Private Ryan gory.
So awesome ![]()

So I'm in the mood for something dark and twisted with lots of gore. Something Cthulhu esq( No tentacle porn Sim lol) but I don't really know what to watch can you guys hook me up? I know it's hard to get a true horror story in anime(hard to inspire fear in a cartoon) but I am sure you all can point me in the right direction.
When they Cry.
Most f*cked up thing in anime.
There are two seasons. Basically the 'question' arc and the 'answer' arc. Both are fantastic, but the first season might confuse you as they present the same story multiple times in different directions. But worry not IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING in the second.
You want proof as to how f*cked it is?

There's also 'Another' if you want something five times better than Final Destination and lots of gory deaths.
Believe it or not When they Cry always starts off as a REALLY funny comedy in the start of each of its arcs, but then slowly descends into the darkest depths of the human imagination.
Basically something similar to Geth's arse crack.

Elfen Lied would fit that category -- Watch the following scene at your own risk. Personally, I think it's an incredibly cruel scene.

But isn't Elfen Lied like rubbish? I don't know that's what I've heard from a ton of people.
Okay watched that.
Don't know what was more painful. What they were doing or the dub itself.

It's okay - Not great, but it fits with the demand for violence, psychological horror and gore.

Fair enough, but I'd recommend When they Cry over that. If it's an 'okay' anime, then he should go for something better. Then again, I suppose the concentration of f*cked up would be higher in a shorter anime than one that runs for 40+ episodes (since you really have to watch season 2 in order to 'get' season one.)
The great thing about it that you really have to make up your own theories as to what's really going on. I recall that I was 60% correct but the rest was way off.

Well, if we are going for other examples -- I suppose there is Deadman Wonderland, Gantz (that one is pretty good), Blood C & Hellsing.

Still gotta watch Deadman Wonderland, can't believe I've left it for so long.

Ah right, haven't watched that one. But it's a completely different story/setting right? Gotta list it if it's as good as When they Cry.
