@Ani

Reminds me of when I was trying to install my old Kings Quest games. It's way tougher to get some of the oldies working then you'd think, even with an emulator

@Amillion: I feel for you. :( Even with Windows 7 sometimes it's a gamble on whether or not older ones are going to work proper these days. I have a handful of ones I want to work on reading, it's just been kind of difficult to figure out exactly what I'm in the mood for. Fuwanovel is a great site as far as easily getting translations are concerned, though I'm not sure it will actually alleviate any of your Mac based difficulties.

Thanks for the tip.  I've used Wine in the past to run them, but that's hit and miss.  Sometimes I can borrow an older Windows7 netbook to run them, but then I can only play every now and then.  And it still takes a bit of effort as you said.  I've managed to get Fate/Stay Night running.  Its a classic, so I figured I'd give it shot once have time to invest into it.

Hmm, does anyone know an anime or manga similar in style and maturity to Berserk? Always liked that series a lot.

What I would have recommended, but I've never watched Berserk, so I didn't want to assume they were that similar.

Very similar in the sense they are both a violent and mature dark fantasy. I have to admit though: as much as I like Claymore it's nowhere near as amazing as Berserk, though that's only because Berserk is one of the most amazing mangas out there

I'm way too happy that they did best ofs for SMA! Lita totally stole the show in that series.

All right...

Sailor Moon's on the list. It seems very popular here, even though the whole magical girls saving the world sounds kinda generic, but then again...

FMAB can be summarised like that too, magical boys saving the world xD

So stop it sim with your stupid preconceptions. You make assumptions out of NOTHING. On 'da list biatch.

There's really no excuse for there not to be.

Alright, thanks for the tip on Claymore, I'll be sure to check it out.

It doesn't have to be in a medieval setting at all, but I really loved the maturity and deep characters of Berserk.

I kinda want to say Power Rangers/Super Sentai. But at the same times there are girls in that.

Sun Vulcan was the only team with all guys.

I would not call them "magical" tho since they had science, sun science on their side.

Ah, Berserk. Proof that you can have something that revels in gratuitous amounts of gore and still come off as thought provoking and meaningful. Though, I wouldn't know since I was too busy watching glorious red wine spill everywhere.

It's science-ey magic that saves the world.

Yes sim, you can gush about at me now, I'm up to 7.

Me and my brother are doing an exchange.

He's introducing me to Death Note and SAO, I'm introducing him to Madoka and Kill la Kill.

If I had the lifespan of Noah I would add more anime to my watch list.

Wait, in that case I would be an old fart watching youngster ****** cartoons!
