Seriously...
Tywin needed a Kiriches...
If he can jump infront of a freaking LAUNCHER he can certainly do the same for a crossbow.

How could anyone NOT love this piece of genius? :'-(
I hope there's a 'B' after that 'A' dude xD

He's just too incredible! Not only a genius but he also got one of the best smiles ever
You Rang, M'Lord?

No, Baldrick.

I wake up to find out Akame ga Kill! will be on Crunchyroll as well.
They make great drinking games.
Get a bottle of wine, and take a swing when:
- There is a conflict between two sides going on for a long time
- The hero gets involved in it against his/her will
- They get in the very speshul mecha and do a good job piloting it the first time without experience
- There is a father figure whom the hero has a strained relationship with and he is involved with one of the sides
- There is a mysterious girl who is going to be a motivation for the hero (protect her/love interest/combo points for both)
- A wild rival appears!
Hmm... Argevollen gets to the very speshul mecha in the first episode, yep. I guess that has a Sue-ish quality, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad trope unless it seems contrived that the unskilled hero would get such a privilege. In Escaflowne, he gets it because he's a king.
I actually don't see Aldnoah strictly hitting any of those in episode 1, though I don't see the rest as necessarily bad either. Like the list of bioware cliches, they feel more like simple observations than anything substantial enough to condemn the writing for. Only if the only notable thing about the anime is the fact that it hits so many cliches, then yeah it's probably bad.

I feel the same, Aldnoah didn't hit those notes in the first episode at least which is one of many reasons why i really enjoyed the episode. That aside i really don't have an issue if they actually pull some of these cliches if they use them properly and don't half-ass it. Proper effort and if they avoid picking all the cliches and i can absolutely believe that Aldnoah will be one of the more enjoyable mecha animes that i've seen in recent time. Now i will reign in my excitement a little bit since we've only seen one episode so far even if it was a fantastic one.
Akame Ga Kill! Will absolutely watch it at some point after i'm done with my Death Note mini-marathon
I'm waiting before watching Aldnoah since I get the feeling that waiting a week per episode will kill me.
Guest_Puddi III_*
Waiting half a year to start watching it now that I've seen an episode would kill me tbh.
I'm just going to put it off until someone goes into full gushing mode. Or until I got bored both work.
Guest_Puddi III_*
Ah. That's too bad. This is the closest I get to gushing about anything.
Rah! You're Liam's only hope now! I'm counting on you. ![]()
Gushing mode sequence activated!
It's silly how much i actually can gush about from just one episode which i really didn't think would happen from an anime with mecha in it. Besides the absolutely amazing soundtrack which is obviously so awesome that even saying it's awesome doesn't make it's awesomeness any awesome justice ![]()
The art style they went with is a style that i fully can appreciate with good range of colours that are used very well and the colours feel "alive" and not weak at all. Really interested in seeing how the style will look in more than the areas we got to see in the first episode. I could gush about the start of the story but that wouldn't be fair to anyone that will watch it very SOON. Will save that gushing for another time but Gen Urobuchi do wield that pen very well!

It's awesome. Watch it. Yes watch it. Like totally watch it.
Aghk nooooooo. I already know i'm going to regret it down the line when a cliffhanger pops up but i'll watch it tomorrow.

Cease-Fire talks at episode 82...
I'm gonna take a break here and start Vagabond...
FFS I'm sooo getting a Red-Wedding vibe here, but it doesn't correlate at ALL with Reinhard's personality to do so. However, he's taken ill, so some part of me doubts that the cease-fire was actually his idea to begin with seeing as his only REASON of being is battle.
Guest_simfamUP_*
Oh, and I'm like FOUR chapters into Vagabond and I'm already hooked.
Not only is the art jaw-dropping (and it's something I don't really take a note of when watching anime/reading manga) but... dunno. Hard to explain. Christ, the story hasn't even STARTED but it's interesting.
Geth definitely has good taste. Though I don't need to say that. The arrogant bastard will gloat about it sooner or later xD ![]()
Man, even the thugs are like

Transformation from grey anime to black anime...

Transformation from grey anime to black anime...
There are a number of possibilities as to what that exactly means...
So I'm just going to post a picture of a dog confused.

I liked Vagabonds. The fights had a much more realistic and human feel to them.
Watched Sailor Moon and Aldnoah Zero episode 1. I liked them both
That "rape her" moment.

Vagabond.
Don't worry, they never got a chance to do it before sexy up there kicked some ass with his mate.
This is the description.
"Based on the book "Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa, Vagabond is an award-winning, fictional retelling of the life of Miyamoto Mushashi, often referred to as the "Sword Saint" - perhaps the most famous and successful of Japan's sword fighters..."
From MangaReader
"Shinmen Takezo is destined to become the legendary sword-saint, Miyamoto Musashi--perhaps the most renowned samurai of all time. For now, Takezo is a cold-hearted kiler, who will take on anyone in mortal combat to make a name for himself. This is the journey of a wild young brute who strives to reach enlightenment by way of the sword--fighting on the edge of death."

Musashi, as he is often simply known, became legendary through his outstanding swordsmanship in numerous duels, even from a very young age. He is the founder of the Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū or Niten-ryū style of swordsmanship and the author of The Book of Five Rings a book on strategy, tactics, and philosophy that is still studied today.
The manga, Vagabond, won the Grand Prize for manga at the 2000 Japan Media Arts Festival, the 24th Kodansha Manga Award, as well as the Tezuka Ozamu Cultural Prize."

That "rape her" moment.
Nothing out the ordinary in those times.
Still freaking evil.
But that's what you get with criminals xD
That's certainly interesting but a bit too dark for me.
It also has a bunch of killing going on, oddly enough that never seems to be a huge complaint to people.
I admittedly don't remember much about the rapey part in the story but I did think it had some of the best sword fights I've seen in a manga.
Guest_simfamUP_*
I'm as violent as they come.

MORE SWORD TO THE FACE!

MOAR DECAPITATION!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
