I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. Anyways to answer sims question Date a live it's weird as **** but if you've played games with dateing elements it's funny as hell.

I like that there's a girl with a clock for an eye in that show. That's all I know about it.

It's just silly nonsense with the occasional bit of feels. That's about it really. It's not going to win any awards but if you want a laugh and some good action it worth your time.

Oh, and what a f*cking horrible night. I was crying in bouts from 1:20am to 3am.

So...you've seen it?

*hugs*

I know your pain.

Same when L left the building.

It was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Game over. The show is over man!"

And in case of Death Note, L's successors couldn't fill the void.

In LOGH, the continuation is stronger.

But still... the void. The gaping, deep, black chasm left can never be fully filled.

RE "aku no hana" - I dig that art style. Frankly I wish more anime would move further away from the "giant eyes, space for rent and little loli's" template.

Well I would say the Holocaust is not like the others but I take your meaning.

No matter what -- These tragedies were all terrible and I don't think it's possible to put value on some people over others. It's not easy I'd say, anyway.
There's no good and evil in this world -- There are only people, made up of shades of gray -- This is essentially the underlying meaning you'll find in Death Note or Code Geass. But yeah..

Light was a collossal d****. Period.

If that was the morals, then Death Note failed, cause you need grey characters on both sides.

Hey, does anyone want to give me their opinion on what to try watching out of these 3?

Kill la Kill

Attack on Titan

Sword Art Online

None of them really grabbed me but I know they're all somewhat popular. Based on the trailers, they all seem interesting for various reasons but Attack on Titan strikes me as having the best chance of people really remembering it some years from now. (Out of those 3, anyway) Just curious is anyone wants to share their thoughts, it's ok if not though.

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is different to most anime because it's violent. As in George R.R. Martin levels violent. The story itself is also engaging as it's mostly character driven and the series has established a LOT of characters of varying depths, though very few outside the protagonists have gotten real coverage so far.

Basically, watch the first three episodes. If they didn't catch you until then, it's not for you.

Some would disagree and argue that he was a saint. It's all relative to everyone. Not that I enjoyed Light much - I thought he was an absolute nobbin'

P.S So what are you guys watching now?

So many Sailor Moons and other stuff that it's hard to keep track on who is watching what.

For me it's obvious since I'll probably cry some more tonight.

Spoiler

Right now i'm watching

Sakurasou No Pet No Kanojo

Code Geass

Free! Eternal Summer

SAO2

Aldnoah.Zero

Akame Ga Kill

Tokyo Ghoul

Zankyou No Terror (soon <...<)

Do want to start watching Glasslip aswell but even i have to restrain myself to some extent.. otherwise i'll end up with every anime possible and then some! Eh who am i kidding i'll probably start watching Glasslip any day just because i can't stop myself. No point in trying anymore

Also on the topic of Light from Death Note.. i consider him a massive douche.. smart but still a douche!

As always i'll always and forever recommend Kill La Kill, prior to PMMM this was the anime i easily gushed the most about by miles and i still gush about it whenever i can. They are all worth a watch and for different reasons and Kill La Kill's would be because it's just crazy and doesn't care about trying to come off as anything else.

I've tried to watch Attack on Titan 3 times now, and it just...kinda bores me.  The story is interesting enough, and I can definitely see the appeal.  I guess I just usually find something more interesting to watch every time I try to jump into it.  Meh.

Kill la Kill is a blast.  It knows what it is, it embraces it, and then it takes it turns it up to 11.  Lots of fun, I'd definitely recommend it if you're into that sort of thing.

For me kill la kill is pretty good. Funny some good characters and amazing action sequences but well the plot was garbage. From a decent and rather simple start it becomes something really ****** convoluted to the degree I can barely remember how we got there.

Attack on titan I haven't gotten around to.

Sword art online is complicated the first arc is great disregarding some bullshit where every character falls in love with the rather bland protagonist and the second arc is brain meltingly awful apart from one character which I liked.

The problem I found with Sword Art Online is that it suffers from the usual nonsense of your average anime that favors romance -- The female co-protagonist becomes more and more obsolete and thus dependent upon the male lead, which ultimately kills any character she might have had -- There's also the deal with the male lead attracting a whole harem of women and from that point on it becomes a bit generic. I could forgive Clannad for doing this because its main character ended up brushing off the usual expected traits of male leads that are favored by many women, where they are either completely oblivious or nervously love-phobic twats.

It's a shame too because the premise is so damn interesting and the beginning is actually quite intriguing.

I would say KLK, even though I enjoyed AoT alot, it's an unfinished anime, you'll need to read the manga, where KLK is a finished story. So KLK.

Can't recommend that one enough. It's the best on that list by a long shot.

AoT... yeah, this one's going to be forgotten long before the next hype train rolls in. The side characters (Jean, Sasha, Levi) are great, the main ones are a bullet to the head that in my opinion ruined what could have been a good anime.

SAO, first arc is really good then... yeah, you don't need to go past the twelfth episode in this IMO (That being said I haven't started the new series, which I assume is going to be a step up because how can you do worse than an anime with flying fairies for protagonists)

So yeah... KLK.

Hey, what's PMMM thing by the way?

PMMM is hard to describe without spoiling it. It takes everything about magical girl animes and stomps on it's head. It's really really really good. Many people's favorite including mine.

Huh, maybe that's part of why I couldn't really get into AoT.

Seconded.
