Right... it's hard enough to justify watching anime; harder still to justify one about little girls. How are they supposed to fight evil? They can't even hit puberty.
Given the acclaim I assume it's not what it looks?

It's sort of intended to be a coming of age story. Being as vague as possible it sort of messes with the girls (as well as ours) perceptions of the world as they realize that nothing is strictly speaking black and white. The age makes sense because it deals with the girls (and particularly Madoka) growing up from being girls into adults.Right... it's hard enough to justify watching anime; harder still to justify one about little girls. And yes, judging PMMM on appearances would be a grave mistake.
How many of them die? This is a super cereal deciding factor.

Its super hard to talk about PMMM without spoilers. But essentially, yes, there is more to it than what the promo art suggest.
That would be a spoiler. How many of them die? This is a super cereal deciding factor.
That would be a spoiler.
Suffice to say there's more then enough death and lives destroyed in the series.
Yes many of the girls die and worse.

Should I watch the movies as well?

So...you've seen it?
*hugs*
I know your pain.
Same when L left the building.
It was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Game over. The show is over man!"
And in case of Death Note, L's successors couldn't fill the void.
In LOGH, the continuation is stronger.
But still... the void. The gaping, deep, black chasm left can never be fully filled.
RE "aku no hana" - I dig that art style. Frankly I wish more anime would move further away from the "giant eyes, space for rent and little loli's" template.
I will never forget the sexy, intellectual, philosophical and most of all, LADiolical that is, was, Yang Wenli :'-(

Currently
Akame ga Kill!
Aldnoah.Zero
Sailor Moon Crystal
Glasslip
Hunter x Hunter
JoJo
Sabagebu
Argevollen (maybe I'll keep watching, anyway)
SAO2 (well, I still plan to watch it)
Tokyo Ghoul
Zankyou no Terror (soon)
I left out the ones no one can know about.
Oh and I plan on actually for real finishing Monogatari second season this time, like srsly now.
WRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
About the others though. Tokyo Ghoul seems to be favourable by bro, however, I've heard Aldnoah (is it wrong that I thought of Ald-Ruhn?) Loads of times here. How is it?

Watch the movies if you end up enjoying the series.

It seems that LotGH is something more for you. But to truly get into anime, you really just have to break the boundaries of age. In anime, almost anything is possible at any age.
However, it looks like you're an ASOIAF fan. Don't forget that Jon, Robb, Dany and Sansa are in their teens. And Arya is YOUNGER still ![]()
Age is but a number! I'm 18 but I'd say my mind has developed to at LEAST the age of 14.
And that's a maybe.
I would say watching Rebellion is needed after watching the series, it's very important.

Aldnoah has the potential to be the anime of the year. It has the best first episode of an anime i've ever seen too.

Tokyo Ghoul and Aldnoah both look very promising from their first episodes. I can't say much more because... there's only been one episode, haha.About the others though. Aldnoah has alot of potential to be fantastic with the crew working on it. Gen is a fantastic writer who feeds off our tears.

Great great and GREEEEAAAAT!
another one of the list ![]()
Oh btw, finished my FMA manga (was distracted by Accursed Kings) and the last volume has a little extra bit in it with Hohenheim meeting up with Trisha in Resembool in a sort of spirit form.
Very sweet, wish the anime added that part in ![]()

I would personally say that Aldnoah is the anime i feel got the most promise to become something really memorable and not end up as just another anime in the large anime world. It got the right ingridents for something special and episode 1 showcased that they know how to use them well. It's really just how well they can use them and for the entire anime and not just one episode. But i got faith in Gen Urobuchi and with the people making the soundtrack being who they are i just can't see it fail.
I'm looking forward to Gen trolling everyone, you know it's going to happen!

Better spoiler tag that. There's someone in here who hasn't watched PMMM yet.

It happens. But that's true of any place. We're usually pretty diligent about using spoiler tags.
