Have any of you picked up a habit from anime? I find myself rubbing my hair all the time, scruffin' it up because of how common it is xD
Started with Spike Spiegel, tho' xD

I liked Rebellion's ending. I thought it was pretty perfect. What did you dislike about both?
I think he's talking about Code Geass instead of the third Madoka movie. ![]()
Well that's interesting. I've watched the series like a decade ago and didn't see the remakes yet since they aren't all out, but watching the remakes first feels weird to me. Guess that's why I'm not into comics, if I'm super OCD about something, then it is about continuity order. I know the Rebuilds aren't sequels, but since it is NGE done properly with a mentally healthy director and proper budget this time around, comparisons are bound to arise.
That was intentional. I wanted to view the franchise from a completely different perspective than most fans, and essentially look at where things are now, and then looking at where it came from. Kinda like watching the movie before reading the book, in an attempt to avoid falling into the "the original is always better" trap. But as you said they aren't sequels, or even remakes. I'd say its closer to a reimagining or an AU.
It's the what will you show your kids first, The original Star Wars trillogy or the Prequel Trillogy dilemma.
What prequels?

Womp womp.
I saw Code Geass quite a while ago. All I remember was that I really liked the shade of red the used for Kallen's hair.

Every woman in Code Geass was such a babe.
With Sakurasou completed it once again falls to me to find something else to watch and as always, so hard to pick but i got a few animes that i consider. Totally going to keep going with the more light hearted and comedy related thing i got going beside the main anime which at the moment is Code Geass. Totally up for romance-comedies aswell since they tend to be at least amusing to watch. The animes that i right now consider are "The Devil is a part-timer!" "Squid Girl" "Koruko No Basket" "Toradora" and "Hyouka"
Have had most of these animes on the watch list for a while and would've picked one last time but instead Puddi mentioned Sakurasou and well that's history!

With 7:3 legs to everything else ratio. But that's just how the CLAMP ladies roll.

I can definitely recommend the bolded one. One of the best comedy anime I've seen in a while IMO. I haven't seen the others, though Toradora and Hyouka are on my list too.
I can forgive PMMM, since MAGIC, but Rebellion?
Didn't even the developer more or less apologize for how that turned out, since the change in timespot meant he was forced to rewrite the entire first quarter of the season to re-introduce everything again? Then there was the general collapse of the mecha combat factor as they went from 'those cool rollar skating robots' to 'the flying robots who pull out a new weapon every episode to win the battle', until the very last battle.
Nah. The last few episodes were a return to the original foundation, but as far as I'm concerned Code Geass is a one season show. The first, and only, season.
Huh? I'm talking about the third PMMM movie, rebellion.
I can definitely recommend the bolded one.
How much romance is in Hataraku Maou-sama? Former rival not giving a crap about you seems like the usual tsundere routine to me.
Got it on my list, but for the moment I have no patience left for anime wish fulfillment regarding women.

Mentioned it first since it's been on the list the longest and it will do me good to pick something shorter than 24 episodes for once
Since i wrote a smaller novel about ONE part of The Rebellion Story's ending i'd say it's safe to say that i adored the ending itself immensly and that it really did so many things so very right for me that it might be one of the more approved endings with me. Could it be better? everything can in some way but i personally can't point out anything that i would change or remove.
It's kinda clear Gen did it so he could do a fourth movie if he wanted but still did it in a way where it can ends there with little to no issues.

I watched The Devil is a Part-Timer, Binbougami and Noragami one after another. All 12 ep anime, all a lot of fun.

There is a reason I bought the KLK OST immediately after finishing the show. The entire thing is fantastic.

Oh, it's there, though it doesn't really go anywhere since he was legitimately kind of a monster before the story starts. He also has pretty much no interest and she mostly comes off as a stalker ex.
But if you're that jaded, those things probably just make it worse. I just found the comedic situations that come from him being a demon king working at mcdonalds (*cough* "mgronalds") to be pretty fun. And there's more characters than just him and the hero. Alsiel is also pretty fantastic.

I watched Squid Girl two weeks ago.
It's good.
The Devil is a part-timer (watched it a few months ago) is also good.

Okay, I needed that after an episode of feels. I was so torn over youknowwho that I forgot just how great a character Reinhard is (I still don't know where you got the d*ck from. I hope he doesn't do a 180, Lotion.)
But yeah, he did...something... and for once, in an entire 90 episodes, you see him lose his cool and blush like a schoolgirl. It was hilarious! xD
Though I'm disappointed. I was sure he was gay, unless what he did he did out of sheer need for comfort and sought it to whomever was there. The series doesn't really specify he's gay, but it doesn't really do anything to suggest against it either.

As long as it doesn't get much focus and wasn't included just for the sake of having a romance subplot, it's fine. The magical girlfriend + ordinary dude setup is the only one I avoid like the plague, I couldn't even finish Nyarko-san and Dukoro-chan took the lives of many valiant cells in my brain.
