Just as a quick sidenote..

 

My mom works as a contractor for oil and gas companies and it's not unusual for companies to hire like 10 lawyers to look over contracts and go over the different ways that it can be interpreted. It's not rare for a company to find a loophole and go out of their way to abuse that even if it's not what was intended or if it hurts the other company. They will almost always just look out for their best interests. Do you think the morality of how it effects the other company matters to these people? They will gladly abuse context for their own benefit and blame the other party for allowing it to happen.

 

Is it wrong? Sure a lot of the times it can be, but realistically it's still going to happen in the real world.

 

That's why a lot of the times the company that knows how to abuse the loopholes the most and has the resources to do it will often come out ontop regardless of who is actually right or wrong.
