Disregard this part, I think I misunderstood who Liamv2 was talking to.

 

 

Do you think that maybe your views on right and wrong are maybe just a bit too black and white? QB's logic is definitely to an extreme, and the extreme is never good, but you should be able to some extent see the merit in it's argument even if you disagree with it.

The whole point of Madoka's final decision is that she finds a balance between QB's logic and the value that the girls emotions and lives hold. I think part of the stories main theme is her realizing that things are not so black and white and that sometimes compromises have to be made to some extent, but in this case she was the one willing to pay the price

 

I could see some merit in its argument. But the only things speaking for that argument are coming straight from Kyubei. He's saying it's for the greater good and there is nothing else supporting that information but his word. We do not see any energy that's helping the universe. We don't see anyone benefitting from their methods. And seeing how it's been manipulating people left, right and center, I chose to not take its word at face value. And since I can't argue facts, I have to argue perception and what I'm seeing is that Kyubei is not trustworthy in the slightest, thus I chose to not accomodate its point of view.

Well that's an interesting way of looking at it I guess, though I'm pretty much certain the viewer is supposed to take what he says at face value.

Anyways, so I'm digging Fate/Zero so far, currently 6 or 7 episodes in.  Having played a little of the Fate/Stay Night VN has definitely helped give what is happening some context though.

Honest suggestion? Stop at the first half. The Banquet of Kings is the high point of the series.

 

Because so much went into the first cour, the second runs into some hefty pacing issues. It has a few bright spots, but-
