That's why I liked Luffy as a kid, he came off like a real kid. For that matter, all of the Straw Hats came off like real kids in their backstories.

Some Geth - you do have a point about Luffy. He is real real-like.

As to the Prinny, it is awesome.

Yes, I enjoy the psyched, messed up, unstable character type (who is innately rather Good).

I like unstable characters too, I like them more when they are smart at the same time. Hunter x Hunter has a lot of characters like that.

I think it's not the unstability itself though. This effect only works if the character has lived through alot, and is psychologically unique.

As to Hunter X Hunter, I'll start (re-)watching the series after I've finished Devil May Cry. I didn't really watch through it the one time I did start.

And as to DMC, the fifth and sixth episodes were both great!

edit: naah, the unstable type works as by itself (maybe some psychological things only implied):

The counter-example that brought me to this:

Well no pics as of yet, but I started rewatching outlaw star, love that show. Alot of the older shows from around then were fantastic, think I'll start on Tenchi Muyo or Trigun.

I vaguely remember Outlaw Star. It was okay from what I remember, but I've never really cared for any of the older series of... Anything really.

I'm still finishing ZnT, although I've made a bit of progress finally. 2 more episodes and I'll be on Season 4.

And I need to get back to Okami-San.

Logan, I know you like Toradora but you should give "School days" a try. It kind of made me think of that show.

Having heard some straaaange things about School Days, I'm not sure how it's even kinda like Toradora. XD

It's only strange towards the end but 90% of the series is a high school love story.

Yeah Mayuri is one of the only Bleach characters that I am fine with. And no, not just because he has Freeza's voice.=]

Anyway unstable types do work just fine alone, but yeah they need a little more history to do them or something that puts them above the rest. Like being a crazy guy who gets off on fighting strong, or yet to be strong people, even when they are kids...

Anyway after you done watching the old show, watch the new show because this show will have the Chimera Ant arc, the best arc of the series.

If you can't tell by that clip up there, the new show really is not that edited. The show might even be more Togashi than Togashi is!;)

What's the worst anime you've ever seen?

For me it's M.D Geist.

Also, watching FLCL. I'm wishing I had done it sooner.

Worst: aside the garbage I don't want to remember the names to: I'd say Kaiji and Black Rock Shooter. (if garbage is allowed then "Papa to kiss in the Dark" - yes it is as horrible as is implied in the title, yes I had to look up the name once more from google, and yes, try to avoid seeing this series at all costs, I saw it through the OP of the first episode and that was way too much already)

Best: FLCL. Followed by Paranoia Agent and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Deep stuff. :P

Well, I choose not to watch anime that I obviously don't like, so all of the series I've seen, I like.

I don't like Naruto, or One Piece, or Bleach. But I never watched all of them, because I didn't like them early on.

The Bleach anime is better than the manga... But that's not saying much.

And eroeru is right, deep stuff makes for great anime.

I liked the first season (give or take a few episodes) of Bleach. Back when it was on Adult Swim, and I wasn't into anime at all, I just didn't mind sitting there and watching it every once in awhile.

I wasn't a die-hard fan or anything, but it was alright.

I'm actually enjoying bleach thus far.
What do you mean by deep stuff?

The worst series of anime that I've seen was FLCL. Not that it's a bad show, but like I said, I've liked all the series I've seen all the way through.

FLCL was just the least impressive out of all the shows I've seen. Only being like 6 episodes probably has something to do with it though.

Paranoia Agent.

And just wait, you will geet to the point where Bleach becomes crap. The plot-holes, retcons and the characters being dumb as sh!t. Though all of that does make for a good comedy series.
