Oh snap poor Rikka, I just got to the scene where they explain why she behaves the way she does. It was sooooo sad aargh dem feels. I want to slap her sister for the way she acts but at the same time I can understand why she treats her the way she does. Curse you Sim for toying with my emotions! This is supposes to be a happy make me feel good show.
I found her sister's PoV pretty understandable. There is no getting around the fact that Rikka's state of mind was not entirely healthy, but at the same time it was not entirely wrong either and her sister realizes that which is why she understands Yuuta is the only one capable of actually helping and connecting with her.
The ending of season 1 gets *REALLY* emotional, for me at least. It's a potential tear jerker.
Ah that series, especially season 1 just warms my heart so much. There's a lot of aspects I didn't like about it, but what I did like just makes my brain *nnnnnnn* everywhere.

Anyone watch Nanana's booty...I mean hidden treasure? It's a pretty fun show that I'm watching mainly because it is everything that stuff like Eva and Lain isn't.
I need more fun anime in my life, lol.
I did. All must know the glory of Tensai's laugh.

The anime is like professor layton with a bit of sherlock.

I agree of course. Rikka needs to move past the events of her past and accept what happened. I guess I'm a softy in some ways she reminds me of my 8 year old niece Lindsy she is autistic and lives in her own little world she even has her own language so to speak. Sometimes I worry about what kind of life she will have when everyone is gone so I guess I can empathize with Rikkas sister for the most part.I found her sister's PoV pretty understandable. What really got me about the series, Rikka and her relationship with Yuuta is that it doesn't really accept it as being wrong or as simply being right. We all have our own escapes and that's just part of who we are, it's part of who she is and she shouldn't have to lie to herself for others in that sense. It's just a matter of moderation and how you find that balance between reality vs escapism.
This is the dilemma that Yuuta has to deal with: He is able to genuinely connect with her and help her as a result BUT is he really helping her or just causing her to retreat further into her delusions? There's not a simple answer to that really and props to him for being so torn on the issue because it's not something that can be answered lightly.
It's tough in a relationship when the part of you that wants to enjoy yourself and be happy with someone is in conflict with the part of you that wants what's best for that person and for them to be happy/healthy. What do you do when being a healthy/normal human being makes you miserable and makes you feel like your lying to yourself? On the flip side what do you do when being yourself damages your relationship with others and ability to cope/function with your issues?

Yuuta going off on Sanae was one of the truest dick moves I've ever seen in any medium. That was the scene that bummed me out the most in that series.

So...Watching A Certain Scientific Railgun.. got to EP 15. Not a bad show, but it could have been SOOOO much better.
Honestly, the amount of "WTF" writing astounds me. Things I don't like:

Hah that's funny. That series is alright but it's 10x worse for using little girls pointlessly then Madoka Magica was. Also way more fan service.
I mean you got a little girl who's a weapons expert and a bounty hunter? Like I can understand when they have magic abilities, but a weapons expert? gtfo.

I could get a little girl being into weapons and learning about them but not being superior to someone who has learned about them for longer aka adults.

Yeah, I remember trying to watch Gunslinger Girls or whatever it was called. It was just stupid I understand it's anime so logic goes out the window to a certain extent but come on a 13 year old girl isn't going to overpower a full grown man(please understand I am not implying that a woman is inferior to a man). And don't get me started on the girl manhandling a FN-PDW-90 SMG like she's a character from a John Woo movie. Edit: Sigh, sad Rikka is sad now I'm bummed but it's good seeing her go from living in a fantasy world to trying her best to come to terms with what happened. It's nice seeing some actual character growth.Hah that's funny. That series is alright but it's 10x worse for using little girls pointlessly then Madoka Magica was. Also way more fan service.

I can't say I recall any fanservice so far.
Maybe the second season?
I wouldn't call just having girls fanservice. More like pointless cuteness.
