The roommate is basically just there for comedic yuri, Isn't she? Very first episode I was ever shown of the series starts with the main character waking up to being spooned from behind by her roommate who snuck into her bed at night.

 

There's really not that much of it so far. I'm 20 episodes in and I can only recall some hugging 3-4 times...and it's all pretty harmless. As far as fanservice goes, everyone keeps their clothes on.

 

That said, the show dissapointed me. WASTED POTENTIAL.

Frak it.

The magic arm guy. OF COURSE he got up (despite the fact he should be dead 20 times over. OF COURSE he knocked out the bad guy - whom he shouldn't even been able to approach. Apprently the bad guy forgot he can kill from range and insisted on close combat - virtually the ONLY advantage the magic arm guy has)

Frak is it stupid. I hate the magic arm guy. Boring, flat, unimaginitive determinator.

 

The sisters? Forgotten.

Despite the fact that the frinds of the railgun chick spend half their day patrolling the city they NEVER seem to bump into any of the many clones. Comedic gold opportunity lost.

 

Rest of the cast? Usless filler.

Also, it seems that every esper in the city if a girl/loli. WTF?

 

And the show started so good. So much promise.

Really at this point, Armin is the main character of AoT for me.

 

I couldn't stand him at first, but his development through out the series has put him on my top 5 list. Armin > Mikasa and Eren is as useful as f*cking Yukki from Mirrai Nikki now though :-/

From a cursory view of the dub on youtube, it appears to be total balls.

Yuno has a very particular yandere voice and Yuki a particular whiny dude voice that the English voice actors don't seem to nail at all.

Of course I watched the sub and haven't given it a proper chance outside my bias.

Can anyone tell me if any good adult orientated animes which have come out this year? Stuff like Psycho Pass or Spice and Wolf. I'm not talking about hentai.

So more mature serious animes. Uh I can't think of any i've seen so far. Akame ga kill sounds serious from the description tokyo ghoul is apparently quite mature too but I still haven't watched them yet. Look them up and decide.
