Tokyo Ghoul, Terror in Resonance, Sailor Moon Crystal, JoJo's Bizarre AdventureCan anyone tell me if any good adult orientated animes which have come out this year? Stuff like Psycho Pass or Spice and Wolf. I'm not talking about hentai.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion has now been completed. Will pick up the next season tomorrow but first some thoughts on what happened. A lot did happen and that i would like CG as much as i do right now was not something that i expected at all when picking it up. I've got a rather weak experience with mecha animes in the past and CG is probably the first one that i has completed and can say that i would watch again without much delay. Story, characters, setting and art style are all of really high quality. Everything about this anime was better than i had been told, really pleased that i saved it and could take my time with it. It's been part of my anime watching for almost 2 weeks now and they have been amazing!
Now the the events of the last two episodes
Also completely unrelated Kyoko gif because i can

This reminds me that I need to go back and watch Code Geass: Akito the Exiled -- Looks like Lelouch will appear in that one too.

Like i said yesterday i now also finished "The Devil is a Part-Timer" and it's an utter disgrace that i actually let it sitt on my list longer than any other anime before watching it. 13 episodes long and i can't at any point say that i wasn't either intrigued or amused by what was happening. The closest i got was perhaps a bit of the last episode but that was quickly fixed by the very end of the episode which had one really nice touch which an anime about demons, angels and fast food etc probably never was expected to have. The anime got really strong characters that do well within the frame of the anime. The story is obviously a bit silly at times which is why i picked the anime to start with. The art and soundtrack are good and while i've seen better they do not in any way weaken the experience. Does the anime have a weakness? I would say yes, it got no second season yet which is dangerously close to a crime since it really should be more of it but time might tell if that will happen or not. If you watch it i recommend that you don't watch it expecting to be amazed by cleverness or any special plot twists or so. I found it best just to go with the flow and just appreciate that it's crazy and silly and didn't pretend otherwise

Got a few animes that i might pick up now, "Squid Girl", "Golden Time", "Hyouka" and a few others are up for it at the moment.
With this i leave my watch and Isichar and anyone else will take over!

I haven't looked at that one because it looks like Lelouch isn't in it. I'm glad my bro loves CG, cos I do too! But you know what's even better? Like 20x better minus the usual anime tropes and all the scope of some literature masterpiece? One that's 110 episodes WITH NO SUCH THING CALLED FILLER?!
*drumroll*
LEGEND OF THE F*CKING GALACTIC F*CKING HEROES!

Seriously, it makes CG look like a Saturday Morning Cartoon in comparison.
SIEG KAISER REINHARD!
VIVA DEMOCRACY

I decided to watch Gintama this morning. Then I saw how long it was, then I was like **** you Sim lol.
I'm burning through it quicker than I have with LotGH. It's an easy watch and even though hilarious it has MANY heart-warming moments
Gintama is really legendary.
Not as legendary as my Yang Man tho' ![]()

Actually, he will be.
Although he might not be "THE LELOUCH" because..
I liked CC but I liked Kallen a bit more.

You are missing out on some classy sh*t. 110 episodes is worth all the drama, intrigue, war and human relationships there is to be found within.
FEEL THE CLASSINESS!

Ah so it's a spin-off?
Plus, is it dubbed? I can't watch CG subbed because I'm just too accustomed to the subs. It's like trying to make me watch FMAB subbed xD

I'd probably enjoy it but 110 episodes (to say nothing of the movies) is a lot. I will watch it someday perhaps after Date a live season 2 and Mirai Nikki when I have to decide between //Hack. Code geass and LOTGH (They are the biggest animes on my list)

Spoiler-- It showcases the European Union's struggle with Britannia on the western front.
Ah, in that case great.
In other news...
My mum loves Samurai Champloo

As long as it's on the top 20 on your list (I'd normally say top ten but anime lists are on average... F*CKING HUGE) I won't be compelled to murder your plushies infront of you.
OOOOOOOH
My good friend Naesaki has recommended .Hack thingy.
Anybody want to back that recommendation up?

There are a lot of .hacks. My impression is that none of them are worth it beyond the first... which is worth it (because music, predictably for me).

.hack//Legend of the Twilight had brother/sister incest with the main characters a few years before it got into every anime ever and ruined every anime ever forever.
Still better than SAO tho.
That's not saying much tho.
.hack//Sign is the best show because lesbians and the music.

Don't mind incest. My favourite books have it in them. ASOIAF and Tolkien's Children of Hurin. So no biggie.
But if lesbians is the selling point for a show that's kinda lame....
Still, would like to hear more. Opinions differ from all around. Geth hasn't disappointed me with his recommendations though. I've loved all the crap he's thrown my way. Especially JoJo.
Maybe I'll just go for .Sign for now and see how it is. But it's not gonna be on the top 20 list.
@Liam.
Goood, gooooood.
I'm sad that I'm not the only one who loves LotGH but is only one who talks about it :-(

But the new Terror in Resonance and Tokyo Ghoul today were pretty great. They're both psychological sorts of anime, but while Tokyo Ghoul seems to be aiming for an emotional trainwreck, Terror in Resonance seems more intellectual, with detective work and Oedipus riddles and probable mindscrewery later on. But I have to give it to Terror in Resonance, so far. Even though Tokyo Ghoul is also quite good.

When I say incest I mean incest pandering to fat sisterless otaku.
When I say lesbians I mean deep writing kind of lesbians I think?
So yeah just go with .hack//Sign not bad but a bit boring.

If you want a non-half-assed recommendation for .hack//Sign you're gonna have to do the ritual to summon Animus, as you probably won't get one from the rest of us. ![]()
