I can give a solid recommendation for .Hack//Sign. It has a really good story story, although just don't expect much action despite it being an MMO based anime. There is sort of yuri but it's not done for fan service and it's all implied (Personally I found it rather tasteful) One of the characters plays a male in the game and I'm not even sure if you find out it's a girl until much later anyways (although it might not be that far into the anime, I admit it's been a while since I watched it)

 

As Puddi and Animus have stated it's got a really solid OST too.

X3 A little bird was telling me my presence was requested, so we can hold off on the ritual summoning this one time JK, Magical Girl Satan is here. Much to maybe the disappointment of others (since it's not exactly a differing opinion ), .hack//Sign was the one that I too enjoyed the most out of all the parts I checked out. The music is astounding but you know, huge Kajiura fangirl soooo. I did remember liking .hack//Liminality a fair bit at the time as well but Sign overall was much better (different storytelling though, whereas Sign takes place in the MMO, Liminality takes place in the real world and more focuses on the effect of the World on the players). So yeah, long story short my recommendation is giving Sign a go and see if you like it, then go from there.

 

I might end up checking out Tokyo Ghoul at some point since I really liked the song you posted in our music thread, Puddi. Seen a bit of screenshots of it too and I definitely think I like the animation and such. But that said, your last post piqued my interest in Terror in Resonance so I might have to do some research there. :3

Sup homies. So I may have picked on Akira in the past to troll Weeaboos, but I've never actually seen the film. I got it for my birthday this year, and now I'm going to watch it after sitting on my watch pile for nearly a month

 

The big decision. The original terrible English Dub? Or the Remastered one with Johnny Yong Bosch?

Relatively. About twice as long as the movie was in terms of content if I'm remembering correctly.

You know when He finds Akira's remains at the end of the movie? In the manga he finds Akira very much alive and that is just the start of a whole new new gongshow.

 

It's all rather epic tbh.

I'm sad that I'm not the only one who loves LotGH but is only one who talks about it :-(

 

Talking about LOGH opens old wounds.

But there is no doubt that LOGH is one of the greatest (if not THE greatest ) animes ever made. So many good characters.
