There's so many things with tons of episodes and repetitions and fillers.

 

Again, by that logic...

 

Dragon Ball Z Kai. No filler, just the manga stuff.

 

Don't overthink it, just choose that. You won't regret it.

Definitely, I actually enjoyed One Piece a lot more than I did of either those two.

Incidentally, the dub of that there Battle of the Gods thing is coming soon.

That was filler? The filler I meant was the ones that causes power-ups to take 5 episodes.

 

I don't mind small filler like that.

I feel DBZ would lose its charm without a lot of the filler, with the main exceptions of the midget saga.

Some things are fine, Gregory was pretty neat.

 

Some build up moments like Gohan first showing up and Son Goku becoming a SSJ for the first time are actually really good. In the manga both those things kind of just show up on panel. lol

This is why the manga is still the best.

 

Bad pacing? It only takes 13 episodes till the Vegeta vs Goku fight while on the normal DBZ it took 30 episodes.

 

I call that excellent pacing.

Most importantly -- Kai does not have the superior Bruce Falconer music either.

That is highly subjective.

 

IMHO Dragonball kept getting worse sometime after Goku got older.

 

And One Piece? Was OK but I honestly got bored of it. It didn't feel like the plot was moving forward any more than Bleach.

Gohan's voice acting is also atrocious -- He has Luffy's voice now, which is kinda awful anyway, so yeah.. Then there's Chris Sabat -- Old Vegeta in the Saiyan & Namek Saga sounds incredibly dumb. I liked how it was originally Brian Drummond, then it shifted to Chris Sabat around the time the Androids showed up which was nice.

Yeah at the start it was fine.

 

It gets worse and seeing as the Boo saga is going to be 69 episodes that's not really a good cut down at all.

 

If they really did just cut down to the manga (the "DBZ" parts) and had awesome pacing all of DBZ could be done in about 100 episodes.

 

 

 

Also I hate the dub music. And the car filler episode is the best filler episode.

This one understands. I can't even imagine the final scene with Cell and Gohan going down without anything other then the dragon theme going. As a kid that was the most epic thing ever.
