I actually gotta admit, though I don't like the models that much, that sh*t is pretty cool.

I'd say Gintama ftw for that one. I'm f*cking hooked on it.

But then again, it's looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.

It will be put on the list for sure bro! Not sure what i want to watch really, probably something shorter than 25 episodes but who knows! Last time i had no idea what to pick Puddi mentioned Sakurasou and i went with that.

I'll just go with whatever feels the best at the moment no matter what it might be!

Hmm... wouldn't say it's 'light hearted' but it's very entertaining and meaningful at the same time. Isi can back me up on this one.

Noted aswell!

Something that i've been thinking about though is that maybe picking something else for once might be a decent idea and give myself some time to collect every go-happy anime ever. Thinking of picking up Clannad, i mean PMMM did an excellent number on my sanity but it didn't manage to completely so i do hope that with Clannad and mostly After Story's reputation manage to transcend into an even higher level of crazy!

That's crazy right!  :D

One is always ready for Clannad. It is a fun sort-of-harem with good life stories.

After story on the other hand...

One of my favorite moments in Anime`s was when everybody like Flash and Green Lantern and Superman saw Batman and they all were surprised that he did not have any super powers and was like, wtf?

That was unexpected...

Oh, but it's Batman.

And we all know Batman is better than everything, including the fly-sh*t Kamen Rider or whatever it's called.

Super powered people everywhere.

And who's in the middle like a boss?

BATMAN!

I knew I could lure you out of your cave with that.

Geth lives in a cave and steals wifi from Moroccans

Just so you guys know.

His real name is Maria Vulesh and he works at a bar in Barcelona.

See you guys tomorrow.

I'll come by this October, Geth, going to Port Aventura then so I'll hang out and we can drink chocolate milk or something.

One Piece's set design is good.

Spoiler

I have said before I like the character design because I like good unique designs and hate generic crap.

But to go back to color spreads because I love color spreads. Here are some of the newer ones.

Spoiler

And this one is just my favorite of all the newer ones.

Spoiler

I mean yeah you have the cast in their movie outfits and the movie bad guy, that's cool. But it also has every known character in the Marines when they were younger and that is amazing. Even the ones that just show up in the background. lol

That's the end of my gush post.

A liitle late for this but...for me, Cowboy Bebop is one of the finest pieces of entertainment that I have experienced, in any media. I'm generally pretty nonchalant on anime, don't really go out of my way to seek any anime when there's live-action alternatives,  and the whole shounen genre can die in a fire imo, but man, Cowboy Bebop is simply in a class on its own.

I guess Evangelion was what first got me into anime as a whole, and my angsty teenage self back then found the despair and angst to be quite...appealing. Until End of Evangelion, that is. Can't watch that without getting a 2 day depression hangover. So while I acknowledge its excellence, i try my best to stay away from Evangelion now, even the remakes (which I know went into some weird-a** place after the excellent first and second films).

Cowboy Bebop definitely is something else. Likely popularized Sci-Fi Westerns(at the very least, in the anime world), which also had a more westernized feel for the dialogue. Doesn't feel like what's considered the stereotypical anime - No wacky sweat drops, or that sort of thing. They're somewhat self-contained stories though they eventually build some past-pieces on the main characters.

Bang.

My story on Evangelion is about the same. Yeah, EoE isn't exactly a picker-upper.

Yeah, Samurai Champloo is really good. It has a nice mixture of the serious and comedic tones to it. Some top notch sword fighting sequences too.

Clannad also gets a strong recommendation from me since it basically destroyed my emotions like no other.

Also I know I'm just banging my head against the wall with this one but Shin Sekai Yori is *really* good too if you want something serious and well thought out, but I've given up hope in getting more people to watch this one by now X3

Exactly. It seems to have deftly avoided the typically bombastic and over-the-top anime tropes, instead using more realistic facial expressions (no chibi!) and music (DAT Soundtrack!) to convey emotions. In doing so, there is a subtlety and nuance to Cowboy Bebop that few if any anime have managed, rivalling the best of live-action tv or cinema. I mean, look at the ending to "Hard Luck Woman". To bring such a swell of emotion within me, without the characters themselves ever shedding a single tear, or displaying on-screen angst, is quite remarkable. All it takes is a very small gesture involving a little paper windmill.

Another important aspect to me is that there is no milking of the franchise. The creators set out to create a 26 episode story arc, and did just that. And then there is that Grande Finale, generally regarded as one of the finest endings ever in anime, that truly does justice to the word "catharsis".

All in all, Cowboy Bebop is an anime that is very "un-anime", which is perhaps what attracted me to it. I guess i'm really not that big on anime lol.

Enough gushing for now.

yeah, it's nice when a story actually has a point and an ending that displays that point instead of "People are still watching this? MILK IT!"

That one is a locust because that's Skyrider.

The first two and some of the other older Kamen Riders were all grasshoppers.

The first beetle one was Kamen Rider Stronger.

@Puddi They are favorites of Luffy, Chopper and Brock.
