 I'm currently really looking forward to this game:




Any other One Piece fans here that are looking forward to that game? Seems like a promising game to me. It's basically Dynasty Warriors, except set in the One Piece universe, following all the events of the anime/manga until the great pirate wars at Marine HQ.

It's only okay, the sequels will be so much better.

This is why I like the fact that Luffy is pretty much intentionally asexual. He never gets into this crap.

Luffy in fact rejected Hancock several times in one episode/chapter. He said he did not want to marry with her, several times.


I don't think Luffy is asexual, he just doesn't feel anything for Boa Hancock. Besides, he's too focussed on living his dream to care about something so trivial as love.

And how do you know it's only okay, have you played it?


I like Dynasty Warriors, so I'm sure i'll love One Piece Pirate Warriors. The music and graphics are also absolutely great in One Piece Pirate Warriors. I love it.

And yeah I did play it, it's only okay. Sequels will be made, the game sold a lot so you know what that means. It's like the Gundam Musou games, they only got great at  2 and 3.

I like what I saw from Pirate Warriors. I pre-ordered the European version. I'll get it on september 21.


How does Pirate Warriors compare to Dynasty Warriors? It seemed pretty similar to me gameplay-wise. Like I said, I love Dynasty Warriors, it's great, so I think Pirate Warriors will also be great.

Why do you think Luffy is intentionally asexual?

I think he's just too focussed on becoming a pirate king to care about women. That doesn't mean he's asexual though. I didn't care about women as a teenager either and I'm not asexual, I actually have a girlfriend now.

Maybe when Luffy gets older he'll get a wife, just like Gold Roger did. But that won't be happening anytime soon, not as long as Luffy is focussed on becoming the Pirate King that is.

The game is somewhat better than the newer Musou games.

I actually prefer in fiction when you have a group of companions and there isnt any romance among them. I like when they all banter with each other but ultimately will give their life for one another. I like when it's implied that they care deeply but nothing more than that. It's very easy to mess up character development if you shoehorn romance in at the wrong time or with the wrong characters.

Like Evangelion, Darker Than Black didn't make any sense to me either.

Forget about Naruto and Bleach. After the first few arcs those series become totally boring. The writing in Bleach is in fact horrible after the first arc.

One Piece however, is GREAT and you really should give that anime a try. It's simply the best series ever. It's the most popular series in Japan for a reason you know.

Dakrer than black made sense when I rewatched the series but I loved it mostly for its characters.
