<Spoilers> Oh so the BL wiki says I slightly mislabeled them, they weren't actually incestuous or actual vampires. It's kind of insinuated they believe in vampiricism though. Murderous, definitely. 

 

But anyway, yeah I was definitely absorbed in that part of BL. At first, I couldn't stand them and was hoping Balalaika would get vengeance, but then when the sister gave their story later on, I was hoping maybe she could live in some way.They had just about everything horrible happen to them.

Aldnoah.Zero had another good episode. It wasn't as dramatic or intense as before, but it is a transitional episode between the initial excitement and what I presume will be a new status quo of the students entering the military resistance and the constant tension of exposing the Martian Princess's secret identity.

 

Another Martian mecha, another bout of clever planning and critical thinking helps the students do what the military could not. They don't outright win, but do enough damage to delay and convince the enemy to retreat in the face of reinforcements.

 

If I had to poke anything in particular at the trope of the rookie students doing what the real military couldn't, it's more that the military hasn't been moving around and dodging than anything else. It's basically just one instance after another of standing still, unloading ineffectually, and letting the martians come in. I don't mind the weak weapons- even the students have had to deal with it- but when just about every martian mech we've seen is slower than the terran robots they'd at least put up a longer resistance if they forced the martians to run them down.

 

Otherwise the difference wasn't too bad this week- nothing as bad as not noticing the drones in episode 2. I can even forgive the lack of evasion by the official troops considering the close quarters they were in. As it was, the hero more or less guessed his way to identifying the enemy's strength, and the plan didn't even rely on that per-see.

Nah, I'm at a bit of a cross roads with that. On the one hand, I desperately want more Attack on Titan. On the other, I started this as the anime and want to continue down that road, even though the wait looks to be massive.

Haven't watched a good dub in a while.

 

Absolutely need to. First episode is 45 minutes of exposition, but everything after that is fantastic. 

 

I think the dub is alright, but I've only seen it subbed so no idea if it actually is or not.

Speaking of Fate/Zero it's possibly the one anime that i'll pick up when i'm finishing Code Geass in 2-3 days. Was picking between CG and it last time and unless i feel for something very different it's most likely going to be it. Heard enough good about it to warrant a try and so far most animes that i've picked up on recommendation have been about as good as said or even better so hopefully it will be the same. Might take a look if i can find anything that also work well with watching Clannad on the side but that's less likely than just going with Fate/Zero

 

Bro! Now you just made me try to remember what the last dub i watched was and i just can't remember it. It was before Baccano and that was over a month ago but i just can't pinpoint it. Was it really Black Lagoon or did i watch a dub after that.. gaaah!

Last dubbed I watch was Devil Survior 2 mostly to see what Break Record will sound like when it gets localized(if it does VA like Overclocked did) and dear god I wish I didn't.

 

The one time I hope for dual audio.

I preferred Code Geass with the dub voices but thats because the show's got the whole spectrum of awesome voices in it - Like Troy Baker as Schneizel
