I'm not saying Erin should have been their first choice, they are faaaaar better vas out there that could have done Chie. I'm also still miffed about Erin going MEET NAOTOS VA then taking ages to explain that stupid comment in detail when this all could have been solved if she said meet the new va instead of acting like getting a new VA for Naoto was a goddam achievement when it was not. After the va change in the anime I'm VERY worried. More so with Margret and Theos new VA quality.

It felt like she dismissed the previous voice actress similar to what Troy Baker and Elizabeth McGlynn did to the SH2 cast which rustle my jimmies
But anyway, yeah

much more gruesome than I have a mind to watch.
Seriously, AoT isn't that gory, there is far worse in anime. Mirrai Nikki, When they Cry, Another and even Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

(he takes her eyeball out, btw)
You see this death in its full glory

And though rare, when it wants to, LotGH can be like Saving Private Ryan.

Yeah, AoT has death, but in anime, it's not that uncommon to find shows with a ton of death.

Kizaru's voice makes me want to pull out my thumb -- I do not like smug characters, especially those who act and talk like they haven't moved out of the 1960s with stupid Bono-looking sun-glasses.
I like most of the Warlords though like the Flamboyant Flamingo-Ding-Dong-Boy, whose name is a reference to a classic Spanish novel.
Garp & Sengoku are great too.

Well Sakazuki is a Marine fascist and fascists are Saturday Morning Cartoon Villains. lol
Don't know if you are at the end of the arc yet but Teach does become a serious threat later. The anime made him and Sakazuki look stronger and better in their "fights" with Whitebeard, but that misses the point of just how strong Whitebeard is so I didn't like it.
Still I like that he is not a perfect villain that always wins 100% of time without any trouble. He is pretty much the anti-Aizen. I find that pretty neat for a main villain in this kind of story.
Borsalino has the voice of an angel and Joseph Joestar. As for the glasses, Kuni Tanaka had on a pair of glasses like that in one of his movies and Borsalino's is based on him so yeah. All the Admirals are based on some older Japanese actors and some of the characters they played.

Sakazuki=Bunta Sugawara
Borsalino=Kunie Tanka
Kuzan=Yūsaku Matsuda
And yeah Doflamingo is amazing.
Love Garp and Srngoku too.

Supposedly, Whitebeard loses half his face in the confrontation in the Manga, right? Such is the inevitable fate of Shonen anime I suppose, censoring that is. I kinda hate this ridiculous notion of making the villains seemingly stronger just for the sake of tension or in this case, so Luffy can beat them up later. I'd liked if Whitebeard had actually managed to finish off Kainu because that would have at least left a scar on the Marines.Well Sakazuki is a Marine fascist and fascists are Saturday Morning Cartoon Villains. lol

Teach's growth in power seems entirely dependent on dumb coincidence, so far -- It feels like a rather forced attempt to make him as evil as possible and incredibly strong just for the sake of... "someone has to be".
So far he seems to have gotten exactly what he wanted, in accordance to his plans even though he doesn't seem all that smart or even that thoroughly intelligent to have pulled this off. Perhaps that's why he's frightening? I think there needs to be something where he really loses, and really doesn't get what he want for me to appreciate him some more.Still I like that he is not a perfect villain that always wins 100% of time without any trouble. He is pretty much the anti-Aizen. I find that pretty neat for a main villain in this kind of story....
His voice is so smug that it's annoying. I like how Ivankov is seemingly based on Tim Curry from the Rocky Horror Show -- Now I actually want Tim Curry to voice him in the dub.Borsalino has the voice of an angel and Joseph Joestar. I love Garp so much -- I hope there's some elaboration on his relationship to Dragon. There doesn't seem to be much there as of yet.

As others have said, do *not* stop watching Attack on Titan under any circumstances.
Personally, I think Eren is a great character. He comes off to me less as whiny and more as rage-filed. I just wish the creators were actually working on Season 2. ![]()
And that soundtrack! I listen to the intro at least once a day.

Yeah he lost half his face in the manga. Japanese tv laws work so they can't show faces getting hurt like that, same reason the anime never showed Luffy as a kid stabbing himself in the face to show he is a real man. lol And that's really the only hit Sakazuki gets on him. The "fight" was a curb stomp. The anime made it look like Sakazuki had a chance when he really didn't. Same with Teach. In the manga he stops Whitebeard's power only once with his darkness and then right after that Whitebeard just hits him with his weapon. lol
That gets into what I mean when I say he does not win without trouble. All these years of planning to get Whitebeard's fruit and he never once thought in all that time he would just get hit like that. Same with running into Megellan.
He is kind of stupid, like Luffy. But when he does win or lose he and his crew think it was destiny. They seem to just want to f**k up the world a lot because they can. Luffy and his crew are all about freedom so it makes sense when the main villains are on the other side of the freedom coin, anarchy.
And to use Luffy again, Luffy just wants a nice fun adventure and as you can see it is hard. Teach just wants to win and have power and does things the easy way to get that when he can. In the chaos of a battle starting he takes advantage of that and goes and gets more crew members. He waits until Whitebeard is on his last legs (lol) to go at him. He saw a crew member had a fruit he wanted so he killed him
I am just saying he is the evil Luffy and there are plot and theme reasons why Teach is what he is in this story. And I think it works better in the manga. lol
As for Sakazuki not dying well Oda does really hate killing off his characters and again plot and theme reasons. At least he got his ass kicked hard by Pops.
I just like Borsalion's voice actor so whatevs. If they somehow got Tim Curry that would be amazing.
Yeah I want a flashback with Garp and Dragon and I just want more of Dragon.

The thing about the majority of aot characters, and most of Eren is that they're inexplicably emotionally stupid and hysterical.Can you really blame him though? Think about it. He was always an outcast because he wanted to live outside the walls with no titans, this is taboo, he saw everything he loved destroyed right in front of his eyes(seeing your mother get eaten will mess with your mind) and see's alot of friends die in Trost and giant forest. He has changed alot in the manga though but at first. Yes he was whiny and a ******, but he has very good reasons for this.
Do note that some of us consider Armin to be the true main character because ironically he gets the most page/screen time and has had the most and best dev, not to mention he was the one who figured out who each titan shifter was with cleaver deduction and intuition, he also planned or proposed many operations that where successful in the long run.
In short. Armin is a badass.
What's worse, this has been served as normal and heroic even. There's actually nothing normal about being emotionally a 2-year old nerve wreck. Though the pseudo middleages world assures this as normal behavior, with the black and white kind of equally illrational sides painting their identity in screaming, gluttony or a nervewreck socalled military reality. In the middle ages and in tragedy, it is mostly the exact opposite, people become more cold, maybe apathetic. The more there's tragedy, the less of it is actually felt as such. People adapt. Aot characters dont. They're a modern myth that people glued to their computers and commodities think of hardship.
Given, I liked the second half of the show. A bit more intellectually believable and less onesided characters there. If only a few.

I always looked at Eren as Shinji Ikari's direct Opposite - He's got more vigor/enthusiasm than he knows what to do with, and it kinda shows. There's a certain level of overemotionalness(it's a word) that even given the context of AoT, seems a bit much.The thing about the majority of aot characters, and most of Eren is that they're inexplicably emotionally stupid and hysterical.
I'll agree to that. My only gripe with the second half is that the characters can't catch up with the audience on a very particular spoiler.Given, I liked the second half of the show. A bit more intellectually believable and less onesided characters there. If only a few.
I mean come on. :|

Don't have much interest in Eren, he kinda summarize the protagonist that i got the largest issues with liking. He just really do not interest me at all which is a shame but at least the other characters around him more or less all got something that make them intriguing to follow. They grow and develop which made me find the second half more interesting than the first half which i did quite like. Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, Jean, Levi and the others are the ones that i'm looking forward to seeing more off
