I actually like the art of Code Geass -- Think it's great but my personal favorite of all time animation (visual-wise) would have to be Baccano and Durarara followed closely by Bebop.

Hm, I can't remember Durararara! having any outstanding features apart from Celty, maybe because of the modern setting. Baccano! rocks the quasi-prohibition era looks for sure. Yet to check out Etsusa Bridge.

But my heart will always be with the cgi bananas of Tiger&Bunny. You just can't make something so pointlessly stupid.

The designs and the choreography is what makes both stand out -- It's same the style for both of 'em and I think it's great for either.

CLAMP fans will find you.

Haha, they are welcome to. I got cookies!

It might be the weakness of the anime but it's not a large one at all. In a mix of excellence and near perfection on so many areas something that is meerely solid or great just wont get the same kind of attention or treatment. I really did have to try to find SOMETHING about CG that wasn't amazing  ;)

She would do that. I wish I was good at making videos. :( I have an idea for a mascot meeting of all magical girl shows, and cat thing(always forgets its name) shows up and kills them all. He then procedes to eat up the remains since you can't be wasteful. I know; I am a little bit twisted.

I find Code Geass art ugly, but bearable.

P.S. - I'm not to fond of the "quite, emotionless girl" archetype, so I'm not that fond of Mikasa

But she's not emotionless. Like I covered, her emotions are her flaw because they are what has gotten her into issues and almost gotten her killed along with a fellow soldier injured which took him out of action for a good time.

The reputation of Team Gurren echoes far and wide. When they talk about its badass leader - the man of indomitable spirit and masculinity - they're talking about me! The mighty Kamina!

Banjo Haran was GAR before Kamina was even a glint in his fathers eyes

Lotion, watch her scenes again.

Sure I take the ****** and join the bandwagon.

But in reality, Mikasa isn't really 'emotionless' like House said. More like hardened really,

But dude, you can't call the girl who broke down into tears when she saw... that... emotionless. Or when she looked like she was going to sh*t a dinosaur when...that... happened.

Now Sylvius the Mad. HE'S emotionless.

Age doesn't really matter in anime. You'll still find quality in old anime.

Especially *cough* Legend of the Galactic Heroes *cough*

It plays somewhat a role for me. I don't mind 90's animation, but anything before then. OMG it is horrible animation quality.

Remind me about which Naruto seasons were good. First three seasons or first four?

Also I'm gathering FMA and FMA:B, Cowboy Bebop, RWBY, Black Lagoon (season 2) and a few others for my next 5 years to watch!

It's always rather hard to write one of these pieces of text once i finish an anime. Some are easier and some are much harder but few have been super easy and Code Geass is entierly in the harder category. When i summarize it i'll add the two seasons together to make it easier for me. Code Geass is the first mecha anime that i've watched that i actually can say that i love. It had everything that i've wanted it to have and much more than that. It had a storyline that i felt was exciting all the way and it was rather full of engaging moments. Some moments might not be that excellent but in the grand picture they all fade away behind the overwhelmingly positive memories that i'll bring with me from Code Geass. Code Geass also brings an excellent cast of characters that during all the episodes grow and evolve while some of them remain a bit the same as who they were in the beginning. A very diverse cast of characters and it was lead by a protagonist that i grew to like a lot. Lelouch is a rarity for me since i very rarely actually grow to like the protagnoist of a story but he overcame that as he did with many other things. The anime also have a solid set of antagonists that keep things alive and do themself justice for the time they get to be on screen. Some of them were good and others will probably not be remembered but that's alright, not everything is worth being remembere anyway. Code Geass got some rather fantastic soundtracks and while it's by no means a PMMM set of soundtracks i've ended up having a few of them on repeat over the last month. The art style of Code Geass is probably it's weakness and while i didn't find it bad at all it was more like odd and some things just did look a bit off with enouch occurance for it sticking with me all the way. It didn't detract from the enjoyment once i came to accept it.

Would i recommend Code Geass? Heck yeah i will! It will be one of the very first animes that i'll mention to people asking for something to watch. I'm really happy that i waited with watching it aswell since it's really been the highlight of anyday since i picked it up and made some tiresome days end rather pleasantly. If you've not watched Code Geass please do give it a shot, it might be something just for you!

I have been wondering this. If an American company makes a show using the Manga/Anime style, would that show be considered a cartoon or Anime? I have been looking for shows with something that has more North American culture instead of the always Japanese one.

For newcomers, huh... I'm not really sure how to handle that. :P I'll just say the ten I've liked the most: Attack on Titan, Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Madoka Magica, Kyousougiga, Ghost in the Shell, Black Lagoon, Darker than Black, Evangelion, Haruhi.

Hunter x Hunter and JoJo only don't count because they're eternal. (well, not as eternal as One Piece, but...)

Oh, and Monogatari if you like toothbrushes.

Which Ghost in the Shell?

Nah not you, was asking Fumbles, just so I know not to list anime he probably already seen.
