^^^ I felt pretty much the same again. The first half had crazy pacing and everything felt really threadbare as a result, but once it got to the confrontation it was pretty good. It just feels like, they must be rushing the hell out of it just to get to the "good parts," and that's bothersome. Even if the good parts are good, they need to be built up properly.

Ya the confrontation scene was extremely well done, even if they did change one part(which I didn't mind because that part in the manga really felt weird)

Touka eating some of Kens flesh was extremely well done too, though with skipping the first arc and some important ghoul info, I won't be surprised if people are confused why Kens flesh gave her the juice she needed)

Huh, I thought it probably had to do with him being half ghoul, smelling like a human, etc. He must taste even better than humans for the gourmet guy to keep going full Hisoka on him. Was there more to it than that?

Kens Rc level is a normal. The way doves can identify ghouls before hey attack people is by checking their Rc levels(along with the paper work as every ghoul minus Ken is registered as a number) A ghouls Rc level is extremely high and thus the doves know hat person is a ghoul but Kens Rc level normal so literally the only way he can ever be found out is either a leak or someone see's him. Because his Rc levels are normal this messes up his ghoul body he now has thus his taste and scent is neither ghoul nor human, it's something else and thus able to give ghouls the juice they need(as shown with Touka, the scene in the manga was strangely sexy too. This was all confirmed in arc 1

Finished waching Code Geass.

 

Stared R2.

 

 

Code Geass was very good, but R2 rubs me the wrong way.

Far too many coincidences, too many plot holes.

1. Really? EVERYONEs been brainwashed? That's he ingenius plot? Despite that half the town should probably know Lauloch and/or Nunallay (bing in the studen council and having friends, etc..), the Emperor somehow brainwashed everyone AND got rid of all physical evidence of Nunnalay (such as albums and photos in others peoples houses). Just weak.

Not to mention it compleely destroyes some characer developmen and plot poins (like Shirely finding out again that Luloch is Zero)

 

2. Despite Leuloch being under constan survailance by cammeras and observers (and it being stated that he couldn't possibly use the Geass wihout them noicing) - he's constanly using it without them noticing. Even out in the open in a crowd (the pizza incident)! WORST. SURVAILANCE. EVER. Not to menion the weak-ass blackmail that everyone falls for (You'd think capturing Zero again would gain you a TON of points).

 

3. Battle Loli's. Frak them. Frak them a bajjilion times.

 

4. More bulls***...like the missile-launched flight units and replacement arm that happened o appear JUST as a mecha was falling. WTF???

 

5. Suzakus stupidity. The whole phonecall with Nunallay thing. Instead of gauging the inital reaction (turn around so I CAN'T see your face) he banks on Lauloch just talking normaly and breaking cover afer a minute of stunned silence (the friggin minute of stunned silence should have been enough of a clue)

I acknowledge R2 being kind of screwy compared to R1. That said, it was only when I got all the way to the very end of R2 that I got a much, MUCH better portrait of the series as a whole.

I think they started off like, oh yeah, we're Code Geass so we need a Code Geass type situation, and halfway started going oh you know what that's not going to work at all because we completely deviated from that situation a long time ago and most of the key characters for that are dead or missing. Lets just ignite this thing and watch it explode.
