LotGH is more star wars then Star Wars.
LotGH > Star Wars x10000000
Well i'm watching the first episode and to say I have no idea what the **** is going on is an understatement. I'm hoping I will know later on.
There's a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge cast of characters, but don't worry, it'll all settle down in the noggin' after a few episodes.
All you have to remember now is that the man with blue hair and goes "yare yare" and rubs his hair all the time is the greatest character known to sci-fi.
Yes.
Even greater than John Sheridan, and that's a hard thing to pull off.
@Avenger.
R2 has a lot of coincidences, but I won't really call myself a 'general' or 'military genius' but from fiction and history, I've seen that a lot of things have to do with chance. There's hardly a situation where pre-planning will do everything because situations change all the time.
R2 has more "let's bring out our huge gun" moments, but hey, what the hell, it's still a card they have to play so why not? I'd say the war side to Code Geass is just part of the entertainment from the show. But it gets a mixed reaction a lot of the time.
Hell, we've even had complaints about LotGH's way of handling tactics and strategy. I can't really argue against these people (nor you for that matter) since I'm not a military genius myself xD
I remember once (like a long time ago, before I got into how politics works) I got into a political debate (and it was a debate, not really a b*tch-fest) with KNIGHT OF PHOENIX of all people. That's like trying to out-box Tyson xD
Needless to say I was totally ripped apart. So I learnt my lesson and from thereon he earned my respect because he was such a nice guy about it all.
Hell, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have gotten into how politics worked.
So, long story short, I'll argue about how weak this is or that is for the overall plot, but strategy and tactics is something I've yet to look into xD
The most I know is that waging a two-front war is almost asking to lose. But that's about it really.
