It would. I could only imagine the amount of "No"s Christopher Tolkien could fit in a letter. He already regrets the PJ films.
As much as I appreciate what he's done for his father's mythos, he still gets on my nerves when he laments about things that have introduced people to his father's mythos. Without the movies I might have never picked up LOTR or the Silmarillion. Let alone the Book of Lost Tales and his 'Histories of Middle-Earth.'

After a 10+ episode marathon I finally finished LotGH last night. Has anyone watched some of the prequel side story stuff? Is it worth checking out?
I'm gonna watch it when I go to the UK. It should be worth it, if you're interested in prequels though. I mean, it's from the same people.

He can literally go suck on an Orc's willie -- The amount of entitlement in that bloke, sometimes, could tip skyscrapers. He's not quite as bad as the Jackson family though.
I'll admit one thing -- The LOTR license has yet to receive a proper treatment in terms of games. Don't know if Shadows of Mordor is gonna be anything good.
An anime in the right hands with some level-headed animation could be neat.

I was impressed with Mami in regards to that and I'm glad we got to see her A game since it becomes easy to forget that she was actually a very tough Mahou Shoujo. I mean it does sort of make sense, she did survive for like 2 years fighting against Witches on her own.
Yeah, Mami's tough. Nothing can get past her trickery.

LOTRO is really the best thing out there in terms of ME and Tolkein.

Depends on the kind of show you're looking for. If you generally favor actiony shounen/seinen shows, then: Hunter x Hunter, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Zankyou no Terror, Aldnoah.Zero, Akame ga Kill, Tokyo Ghoul. Those are my favorite ongoing ones right now, though Tokyo Ghoul has issues with consistency and a ton of censorship.
If you want comedy/slice of life then I'd say the best is Barakamon.
If you want Sailor Moon then what are you even asking for, go watch it.

About animes that i can recommend this season to anyone uncertain on what to watch? Aldnoah, Zankyou No Terror are the two that have since long past the point where i'm concerned about their quality and Akame Ga Kill did pass that last week so these 3 animes are all worth a watch as they stand right now. There are other animes that i do watch but they have to prove themself further.

Yeah, anime isn't a genre so much as a term for all of the animation from a single country (not counting things like Korra and Code Lyoko). I've seen some well-grounded and realistic animation that could resemble Tolkien's works pretty well. If he can stand friggin' Bakshi's interpretation, I don't think he would mind that.
As for video gaming, I sure hope to Eru that Shadow of Mordor doesn't suck. We only have a handful of good official LotR games.

I normally would say that I would have to turn in my man card if I watched Sailor Moon. I can't really say that with a straight face after I decided to watch Madoka Magica. I may check it out to see if it lives up to the all mighty hype. As for the rest of list, thanks a bunch. I can now live in the angst of waiting a week for a new episode to come out. It's painful, but it's a good type of pain.

Personally, I don't care much about that, even though the hero is your run-of-the-mill wangsty antihero. The fact that we get to see more of the geography/psychology of Mordor and the Orcs as well as the lore behind Sauron's rise (not in book form) is pretty sweet.

I watched the first epsode of LoGH: Spiral Labyrinth. LOL, Yang's evacuation plan for El Facil was so simple. I guess I was expecting a grander scheme.

And no you can't. I've boxed for years, and I knew WHAT was coming but couldn't possibly evade it due to the speed/skill of my opponent. It's totally possible Lotion and I'm proof of that.
When you're charging in against someone who can predict your moves, what can he predict? It's a most basic form of assault, you have no advantage because your advantage is made ineffective. Sure you know what's coming, but are you fast enough to stop it?

They guy sees into the future. You can't speed blitz him, because he knows WELL in advance.

Fate/Zero is truly something quite special and the fact that all of episode 4 was focused on one single event and that the episode was over before i knew it was very impressive. Can't recall that happening more than once or twice before and those were both about much larger things than some fighting. That the anime is almost stupidly good looking do help since i could probably stare at a storage container and gush about how good it look. Animations and art have been miles above expectations!
Currently watching Barakmon, Free! Eternal Summer, and Love Stage!! Anyone else? 
Yes, I'm more of a slice of life fan than anything else. Although I like sci-fi and fantasy (12 Kingdoms FTW), too.
Favorite anime of all time would be Natsume Yuujinchou (duh), Tsuritama, and Tiger & Bunny.
