Yes, I'm more of a slice of life fan than anything else. Although I like sci-fi and fantasy (12 Kingdoms FTW), too.
Favorite anime of all time would be Natsume Yuujinchou (duh), Tsuritama, and Tiger & Bunny.

You might also like Tiger & Bunny if you haven't seen it: Super heroes who save the day but also have corporate sponsors... it's pretty hilarious, but definitely has its finger on the pulse of the times, too! Gets a bit heavy in the emotions department towards the end, though.
For action, I tend to prefer to read it than watch it; for example, I dropped Bleach anime but read the manga for a loooong time, but haven't caught up on it in the past couple years. (Kuchiki Byakuya however is still my all-time favorite manga character ever.) I also used to read Katekyo Hitman Reborn! after only watching about 15 episodes of the anime. Love, love, loved the manga.
The exception is D-Gray Man; I got tired of the manga but ended up watching the whole anime.

Yeah, I totally agree with you on the space opera thing. LotGH really blows the mind and the best thing is, it hardly ever needs to use any 'echno-babble.
One thing I do like is both goverments are not really portrayed as evil and good which was nice and refreshing.

Terribly sad to see you go but whatever needs to be done just has to happen and i'll just have to miss you instead! Been a blast and who knows what will happen in the future! Without you or Anima i'd never gotten into PMMM as much as i have and for that i will always be grateful! I'll continue to hang around for probably a long time to come. I don't have the sense to do better things anyway. Both Kyoko and i will miss you and your Sayaka gushing, it just won't be the same.

I watched the first epsode of LoGH: Spiral Labyrinth. LOL, Yang's evacuation plan for El Facil was so simple. I guess I was expecting a grander scheme.
